Trump campaign death spiral

How many times did he repeat that parable? They all know what he is so when he turns on them it really shouldn’t be a surprise.

My family member totally sucked into the cult sent me the ice cream/McDonalds meme DJ sent out last night. And honestly, it's just so done and dusted. In 2016 this was hilarious, remember Trump talking about that Ohio govenor and the pancakes? Hilarious! Now, 8 years later, SAD!

He'll still think he can call the shots, but nobody will be paying attention anymore. This election is a referendum on Trump. If he loses, he'll be the guy that everyone knows is all whiskey dick.

Nobody cares about a confirmed loser. He's already showing up hours late and to empty seats. Without this -- just a wet fart in the wind.

He will still file to un in 2028, because it is all about the grift.

I actually don’t think it’s about the grift. I think it’s his NPD. Losing the election again would be such a blow to Trump’s ego that he will never ever accept it and will continue living in total denial forever. He’s not running this race for the money or to stay out of prison. He’s running because he has to prove to himself that he’s the best and he’s a winner and 2020 really was a fluke election that was stolen from him.

Ouch.

Big "we had a birthday party, and nobody came" vibes.

Maybe the Trump supporters need some OT to learn how to make friends and stop turning off all the other kids from wanting to be around them.

This is so funny because bots can't participate, so if they need actual people they realize that it's all an echo chamber.

Everything about this smelly old man is sad. His dragging right leg, his "weave" (more like a stagger, a'la the garbage truck entrance), his moldy old list of grievances. The sour-faced people leaving his rallies early, or even while he is talking, after waiting for him to arrive hours late. His inability to avoid bankruptcy yet again.

It's just so, so sad.

I'm really hoping he loses so that we can turn a new page and leave the stupidity and drama he brought behind. The bubble of the MAGA cult needs to pop and his people need to start coming back to reality.

He's going to fall over and not be able to get up. In front of people, too, with cameras. Oh god.

If Trump loses do you think Don Jr will run for the Republican nomination in 2028?

We can only hope. Tee that one up, yes please.

No because I think this run was more about stopping the pending court cases and Don Jr is implicated in many of them.

I also have always thought trumps entire schtick would only ever work for him. People are tired of the chaos and want to move on. I think the polarization will stay for awhile because much is related to racism and sexism awoken when Obama won, but slowly this country will start to move forward.

That just looks sad. May these crowds reflect the votes and may Trump be crushed by Harris voters.

Raleigh ain't Trump land.

Most of the USA ain’t Trump land.

Unfortunately, that is incorrect. Most of the PEOPLE in the USA are not Trump supporters (hence his regular loss in the popular vote), but most of the USA Is definitely Trump land. If you look at the political maps, Trump has nearly 2/3 of the majority of the USA by area that vote for him. Sparsely populated areas tend to vote Republican and dense population centers, e.g. cities, tend to vote Democratic. This is also why the current Trump scheme to steal the election is to somehow invalidate state election certification so that the electoral college (which will likely favor Harris) will not be able to determine a winner and it will revert to the state coalitions in the House of Representatives. There are more state coalitions that will vote Republican than ones that will vote Democratic.

2020 Election map:

Land doesn’t vote, people do. This is an oldie from 2019.

Great point. Why are empty areas colored red?

DP. I think this is going to be one of the most accurate things written here today.

There was some kind of pitch point moment, where Trump's own qualities came together with a big emotional state of resentment in a large part of the population, and that with novelty and a lack of accountability (yet) gave us 2016. If Trump had actually managed to win after that, I think those emotional ties to him would have strengthened -- but with loss after loss after loss, it's gotten harder and harder to *feel* good about being his supporter.

Gravy train? Sure, ride along. But when the wheels fall off, there is no reason to stay with that cart.

It's a county level map.

It's also about the grift. The guy is broke (again) and if he loses, will suffer a $2B bankruptcy claim.
