| Arlington team will finish 4th at very best. |
|
Union picked up a few key players but that doesn't necessarily translate into results.
Looks like the big loser here is Braddock road. All the other teams are getting stronger |
I take it VDA isn't happy with a tie? Maybe because next time Loudoun will win? |
| Not talking specifically about the Loudoun VDA tie, but it’s somewhat easy to tie when the coach has the entire team on defense. |
That’s Loudoun ball. D up and hope for a breakaway or set piece. |
VDA is for a rude awakening this season. Other teams improved, and VDA will likely finish outside the playoff spot. |
^ Rude awakening Very dramatic, we will see soon enough |
| LOL all the posters are saying how bad their team was last year but now we got some really good girls in…you know difference makers! ….unlike my kid. |
Their kid might play a different position than the new arrivals. If you strengthen a couple areas in the squad, it could make a huge difference. |
Yes it’s not my kid who sucks, its all the other kids. |
Kids don't suck, but the teams need to be upgraded at certain positions from time to time to stay competitive. This discussion is about ECNL teams, where most teams and players are pretty good. Players move between the teams and clubs all the time. All clubs recruit outside talent. For some clubs it is harder to recruit due to their location, quality of coaching, and lack of track record in placing players with good college programs, etc. |

Well we will see what Arlington and VDA can do in less than two weeks… Looks like Loudoun’s 08 group are playing with 07s at the Premier Cup!
Guess we get to see these starter/impact players parents’ are claiming joined their child’s team
|
Loudoun 08 ECNL is not listed on the Loudoun Premier Cup schedule. |
| East Coast Premier Cup |
It's a preseason tournament. Most likely Maryland teams will beat both VDA and Arlington. It might not be pretty. |
