Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 2

There is a witness and Kavanaugh already gave his unsolicited opinion about that witness's credibility. No one asked him to do that. But he did.
It should tell you all you need to know about "witness and corroboration".

What leg are most of you standing on? Can anyone honestly address that without some kind of name-calling?

What logic makes the calendar evidence but the medical records not?

Or the yearbook not.

I know. He is aggressive and belligerent when sober! When speaking to the GOP hired prosecutor! When speaking with senators!

He should not drink alcohol at all. And no freaking way his wife didn't know he was a giant asshole.

Way overacted. There's no way you get through that many elite institutions without knowing how to control your feelings for a few hours. It was not at all believable, not one bit. Trump gave him stage directions "seem angry! defend yourself!" and he followed them.

You must be joking. His life has been torn apart. Of course he's angry and of course he's defending himself - as he should. I was heartbroken for him.

The committee got exactly what they deserved from his statement. This whole debacle has been truly disgusting.

I'm sorry, why in the world were you heartbroken for him?!
This does not happen to everyone.
It happened to him for a reason....because his past and temperament make him unsuitable for a Supreme Court justice.
Going through the nomination process is always tough, he knows this, and yet he cried and yelled that it was unfair.

In general, we want our Supreme Court justices to be apolitical. Not partisan. I guess Kavanaugh didn't get the memo.

The GOP didn’t get the memo, but then they!ve been trying to drown the government for years. No stable person votes for those anarchists.

I think he'll be confirmed. 54% of Republicans think he should be confirmed even if the allegations are true. They think it's a youthful indiscretion and a "good" man shouldn't be denied the opportunity to be on the supreme court.

What disgusts me the most about this is how much he seems to believe that he is owed this. That he deserves to sit on the supreme court. The entitlement of this man is just sickening.

People are denied jobs at mcDonald's over a Facebook post. This dude gets to sit on the highest court in the land?

Just stop.
He was nominated and accepted the nomination. And, then, the crazies came out of the woodwork.
His reputation has been destroyed. He DESERVES to be heard and to clear his name of these ugly allegations.

Agreed. And the idiot Senator Whitehouse, delving into Kavanaugh's yearbook?? Asking him to explain all the stupid inside jokes from high school? That was a real low point. If I had been Kavanaugh, I would have declined to entertain such an absurd line of questioning.

We aren't stupid. Again... get a FBI investigation!!!!!!!
Who's scared of that?

Kavanaugh the belligerent drunk is scared of it.

At this point he would not pass the background check to be a greeter at Walmart.

+100000000. Even if he is totally innocent of all of this, his behavior today should in itself be disqualifying. There are SO many comparably qualified people who could take that position, pick someone who's capable of responding without partisan tantruming.

Good. They should. There is NO reason why he should not be confirmed.

Don’t you find it odd that most women think he’s guilty but most men find him innocent?

Here’s my anecdote: DH believes her and thinks Kavanaugh is a mean drunk.

My DH knows Kavanaugh and dislikes him, which is why I said MOST instead of all.

Disliking someone doesn't mean they are a rapist. I am sure Brett dislikes your DH too.

Sadly BK will be on the SC and your DH will have a powerful enemy.

Omg that made me LOL! You clearly have no idea who we are. Lol.

Omg you are on an anon forum. How would anybody here know who you are?

THIS. My jaw actually dropped when he began his song and dance, oh-so-innocently asking Kavanaugh to explain what "ralphing" meant. How incredibly demeaning and irrelevant.

I’m a woman and I know he’s innocent. Same with my best friend. And, several others.
I was at a function earlier this evening. Everyone, without exception, was disgusted by the behavior of the Dems. Everyone there was talking about it.

Cool story, bro. Every woman I know - including GOP women - believes Ford and thinks Kavanaugh is a total douche and has anger issues.

I bet you this changes after his testimony. It changed my mind. I now believe him.

apparently kavanaugh only ralphs because he has a weak stomach. Not because he had a drinking problem.

You know, when he was drinking so much with his friend that his friend later wrote books about it, and then was called a belligerent drunk by his roommate.

I flipped the opposite way. His testimony was awful.
