Van Lifer couple camping in Utah national park - two weeks later fiancee arrives in FL alone

Dead or alive.

He is rather smart or rather lucky.
His parents show zero emotion when seen so no one has any clue from them.

Sadly this case may go cold the longer Brian remains “missing.”

This doesn't surprise me. The wilderness trips and van living was his idea. It was her van but he had the knowledge about outdoor resources and had previously lived in the Appalachia for months at a time. There are large parts of the U.S. - basically from the Rockies to the Appalachia - which is essentially nothing but dense forestry with no one living there.

Even the national park her body was found in was 130,000 acres.

He could hide from others easily in just 1,000 acres. Only travel at night. Hole up in an uninhabited cabin by day. Fish or hunt for meat once every two weeks. Or...I'm betting his parents stocked up in a local country store with no CCTV to get him canned food or provisions like dried fish, MREs, and grains to help him when he first flew down after he killed the girl.

Either way - he's grown a starter beard by now and he'll change his appearance as much as he can.

No, she was very much alive when he flew to Florida in mid August.

It’s also possible if the phone didn’t send the message the day she typed it, it could have sent it when reception was picked up days later.

If that's the case, she may have been saying - "can you help send the authorities now (can you help stan)" as things went very, very wrong and maybe she was injured at this juncture. But the message didn't get sent until reception was picked up days later.

Possible, but I would think a vlogger like him would have scheduled a text to his parents saying goodbye. And he would've been found near his car, at least a piece of clothing, something. His parents don't seem concerned he is dead at all. His father just went pretend searching for him. He went to great lengths to hide Gabbys cell, apple watch. If he is dead, I think it's by accident at this point.

Yeah, agreed. I think of it this way - like Dog said, he likely called the parents right after it happened and they told him to drive home ASAP and lawyered up faster than the police could get any statement from him. They apparently obtained burner phones, and clearly there is money available that allowed for the flight home earlier in August, the mini camping excursion, new camper, etc…

Sorry but I have no faith in anything “Dog” says. He’s been wrong repeatedly and is so obviously a publicity whore.

But why not leave or ditch the van and fly home unless the parents directed him to drive back and/or bring it back?

That’s not what happened here. Here is what has me very confused. I thought she was killed right after the restaurant fight with the hostess in Jackson Hole. However, there has been a lot of analysis done on that video of the van on the side of road from that vlogger. That video is from a couple or few hours after the restaurant incident. If you watch the slowed down versions, It is 100% unquestionable that someone jumped into the back of the van and closed the door when they heard the vlogger’s vehicle approaching. At first I thought well, duh, it’s Brian hiding with the dead body. BUT, when you look at the slowed down video, you see both of Gabby’s sandals side by side right outside the back of the van like she stepped out of them. AND you see right on top of a tree stump next to the van, a book with Gabby’s phone right on top of it. This was around the time when Gabby’s mom got the text about her grandfather “Stan.” Every sign points to Gabby having been alive and hanging out right next to the van. And there was no sign of Brian. Sure, he could of been in the back with her, but there is no indication he was. And a couple of days later, you have him hitchhiking and getting rides from two different people miles away looking to get back towards the van area. At the very least, the idea that he called the parents right after then left is not at all true. She died the same day of that Jackson Hole fight. The question is where was Brian. I think he did it, but there is a lot of information that can provide reasonable doubt.

Another very weird thing that is racking my brain is why there were hiking boots next to her body. Were they her boots? If so, why were they off? She had the sandals on near the van so did she put the boots on to go wander that area? Were they Men’s boots? The boots are such an odd fact here

So much of this is a real reach.

+1. They likely removed their shoes before getting into the van. The fact that Gabby's shoes were outside the van means nothing except that at some point, she removed her shoes and got into the van. She may have been strangled inside the van. Likewise, the fact that her phone was sitting near the van means nothing, especially since we know that Brian used her phone after she was dead.

Apparently Gabby and Brian has similar shoes. Last I knew, it was t possible from that video to be certain whose shoes those were.

The Stan text was a weird one. I don’t know if that was a code word meaning “I’m in trouble,” a normal yet random text, or something Brian sent from her phone after she died.

It is widely assumed that Brian sent the Stan message pretending to be Gabby. Stan is Gabby’s grandfather and this strangely worded message was the first clue to Gabby’s mom that something might be off.

Yet, she didn’t even report her kid missing until the 11th?! TWO W
EEKS later?! That’s exponentially worse than Brian’s parents. Either she absolutely was not that concerned about the text at the time or she is oddly passive about any concern

C'mon have you seen the mother in interviews ? Have you seen her Dad ?

There is a reason Gabby was with Brian just as much as there is a place Brian learned to behave as he has: HOME

He may have also sent the Stan message. If she was out of her mind stressed out, she might have referred to the grandfather by name. Or it was probably BL pretending to be her and not doing a very good job of it.

Experienced hikers don't confuse Yellowstone and Yosemite. Yellowstone doesn't autocorrect to Yosemite. And her destination was Yellowstone to meet her friend and her "grandmother". It was her, or him. If him, he's a dumbsh¡t. He knows how to "sound" like her. They shared social media and vlogs. Using Stan and Yosemite would trigger her mom. If that was his intent, then he's madman who thought very deliberately to terrorize her mom if G was already gone. This will be one more nail in his coffin, if he's caught.

But if it was her, she may have been in significant distress to type Yosemite if her vision or fingers were compromised. We don't know what he subjected her to prior to strangulation. I apologize for this detail. It hurts to type it.

It was a quick death. We’ve already heard that from experts. It was quick and it happened where her body was found. There were no bruises or marks on her- no signs of any type of struggle. She was quickly killed, seemingly out of rage, then covered and the person who did it very quickly left the scene.

Where are you getting this from?

A quick death ? It takes 3-4 minutes to manually crush someone's windpipe aka " to strangle ". Some people can run a mile in 4 minutes.Imagine how long it takes to watch someone race 4 laps around a track. THAT whole time he is crushing her windpipe and she is struggling to breathe.

In contrast it takes 10 seconds or so to die from hanging. 10 seconds vs 4 minutes. That is not " over quickly"

And where do you get the info that supposedly their were " no bruises" on Gabby. Her flesh was completely rotted. The approximate date of death was determined by insect experts knowledge of how many molting cycles the larva and flies and worms eating her remains had gone through.

^^Eww. Yuck.

I saw that there was a protest today in front of Brian’s parents home….

The protesters left a sign saying ‘What if it was Cassie (Brian’s sister)? next to a giant Gabby head in the Laundrie yard. That’s the father forced to leave his home and remove it. Love it.

A post on Twitter hypothesized it was an accidental text meant to be sent to Brian's mom, not Gabbys, because Laundries ex biz partner Stan Andersen lives in Mexico. No idea if that's so, but saw and just sharing what I read.

No offense, but who are these people with nothing better to do than camp out at the Laundrie’s home? No jobs or families? I guess maybe friends of the father, since he also lives in FL.

I agree.
While I think Brian’s parents certainly deserve all the bad press they are receiving - I find it so odd that these protesters have the time to spend such a large amount of free time in front of the Laundrie home.

Certainly they must have families that need tending to…..or jobs/careers??

Maybe they are Gabby's advocates that visit for a few minutes or hours on their days off or on the way home to/from work.
Maybe they lost a friend or family member.
Maybe they escaped a similar situation.
What do you care?

If you watch the protestors exchange with Cassie Laudndrie, one of them says they know Gabby personally. Not sure how true that is.

Coroner essentially just got fired (“pushed to resign”) from his day job at a hospital allegedly for using his computer for personal purposes. I feel like this has to be tied to the case or something super egregious (eg child pornography or some other illegal act) and I fear this will become fodder for any defense attorney...

I also found his statements re domestic violence during the autopsy announcement incredibly unprofessional and even potentially dangerous to an ultimate prosecution so I’m not too surprised
