Gosh, do you think being gang raped might have caused some of that alleged instability?

Also the guy who got the restraining order sounds.... let’s call him “angry.”

Bob Mueller's FBI investigated him 5 times. For that type of clearance, FBI had to be very thorough and interview his high school and college friends. I thought democrats trust Mueller's FBI.

They had concerns but w pushed him through

His initial clearance to become a judge took something like 2 years and he only got awarded it because Bush really wanted him.

Why did they have concerns?

I am also a mom to two boys. I am also ENRAGED! What I told my dh is that I don't want my kids joining a fraternity.

Also I have spent the last 2 days all over twitter, reading everything possible, and making donations to multiple candidates for midterms who are not in my state.

I can't sit by and let this go anymore. Done!!!

This whole situation is not okay. NOT OKAY.

Whatever you can say about the sexual assault allegations, several people who knew him well -- including his college roommate at Yale -- have come forward and called him an angry, belligerent drunk. I am sure there must be skeletons in the closet. In addition, his best friend's ex-girlfriend remembers Mark Judge confessing that he had had sex with a drunk girl with several other men at a high school party. So there are definitely other corroborating witnesses, not to mention his yearbook, that he hung out in social groups where binge drinking and highly questionable if not criminal activities with women occurred.

I know it happened with Gtown Prep boys at the time. Whether this specific allegation is true, I don't know.

How do you know?

DP. What’s crazy to me is that a separate woman who dated Mark Judge already said Mark confessed this to her, and yet....people still don’t believe it. You will never believe it, because you simply don’t want to.

A new report just came out that provides information on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s third accuser. The report suggests that Julie Swetnick’s ex-boyfriend filed a restraining order against her for some disturbing violence-related issues. This was back in 2001.

A) What does this have to do with her accusations?

B) For anyone who asks why women don't come forward with accusations, here's your reason: the accuser's life becomes subject to scrutiny.

As well it should. She apparently was nuts enough for an ex to file a restraining order against her.

I sense a pattern. When a woman makes an accusation, she's nuts. When a man makes an accusation, clearly the woman is in the wrong.

Let's just have the investigation and get it over with. This back and forth is going nowhere. If people want to get to the bottom of who is telling the truth, and let's face it, most Americans do care about this right now, we should have it out fully. Then move on. The Republicans are doing themselves no favors by just seeming as if they will do anything to get this guy seated, no matter what anyone says.

That's not what I think. I do think that when anyone is able to get a restraining order, then there's a very good chance that the other person is emotionally unstable.

Do you also think that when someone goes to great lengths to make a public disclosure of an assault, they might just maybe be telling the truth? Because I do .

Of course. But I also think there needs to be corroboration before the accused's life is turned upside down. I don't think an accusation alone is sufficient. (I also think that Ms. Katz is an extremely liberal activist.)

Probably what you see before you: if not the actual accusations of rape/proximity to rape/attempted rape, the anger and disrespect toward women, the drinking, and I don’t know if you believe the debt was gambling, but that sounds a lot more likely to me that however dozen many baseball tickets he would needed to buy even $60K worth.

There are hints that he horrible to his female clerks but none of them want to commit career suicide.

She also had her polygraph done in MD on Aug. 7. Wondering if she flew or drive. I know she was vacationing on the east coast during this time, according to the letter she gave to Feinstein.

Finally, someone is asking the important questions.
/s

Once a person is caught telling one lie, it throws their entire testimony into question. Why did she say she was afraid to fly? Just an excuse to not have tot testify under oath?

Exactly. Yet she easily flew out here for the pussy march.

She never said she was afraid to fly. People surmised it because she delined to come to DC on Monday.

Yes, she did.

"The GOP has been told that Ford does not want to fly from her California home to Washington, according to the Republican senator, which means she may need to drive across the country. Ford has reportedly told friends she is uncomfortable in confined spaces, indicating a physical difficulty in making the trip by plane."

Yep! The GOP hates women, which is why they put a sexual harasser and now a sexual assaulter on SCOTUS. Shame!

Looks like Democrats and GOP candidates have both sexually harassed women. Stop making this just a GOP thing.

I called my son and warned him to be careful spending time with women who could turn out to be unstable.
I cannot imagine having a false allegation thrown at him.

In answer to your question, yes I do. I also think that there are people (both men and women) who are emotionally unstable and make up stories or embellish events.

+1
If they admit that this is a possibility that Kavanaugh, an allegedly shiny and perfect SC nom did this, they’re going to have to rethink many, many things. And that’s a difficult switch that many people are not willing to make. Hence the doubling down.

No one answered me when I asked: is it that men don’t know that gang rapes actually happen here in America? Someone upthread was saying that it only happens in war torn countries - sorry, bub. It happens here, too.

Just stop spreading rumors. You are horrible. If any of these things surfaced, he would not be where he is now.
And, his female clerks have nothing but praise for him. STFU

Certainly. The oft-cited la crosse stripper, for example. But again, Judge’s ex girlfriend said that he had mentioned this to her as having happened.
