First; Melania didn’t write that. In fact she didn’t even direct it to be written. I don’t know why Rs think the rest of us are idiots. The women can barely speak English, has trouble reading children’s books aloud, but she was able to put that statement together. Umm no she wasn’t. Secondly, that is in no way, shape or form an attack on that kid. She used his name to make a point. She didn’t personally attack him. Period.

I couldn't watch the hearing until after work, but right out of the gate--

I am frustrated by the degree to which the GOP assumes that none of us are familiar with the constitution or its history. So Stensenbrenner starts off about Biden and nobody trying to impeach him--but nobody has ever concluded that a Veep is impeachable, for one thing--this came up, I believe, in the case of Agnew, but they got him to resign rather than face that question. And he has the audacity to position himself as an expert on managing impeachments. Argh!

It's not a court. There's nothing kangaroo about it. There are rules in the House, and they were followed. If there was anything remotely improper you damn well know that the Rs would run and get the parliamentarian and then find a bank of cameras.
