I cannot overstate how hurtful it is, as a person of color, to see this thread flourish with news that is not inclusive of minorities. At all.

I hope it's ok to post this request here.

Thank you all

I'm not sure I follow - not trying to be critical, just want to understand what you're seeking. Are you looking for folks to post (more) uplifting stories about minorities in general?

I agree that I don't understand this concern. This thread welcomes all "good, uplifting and hopeful news" without restriction. It doesn't focus on any single group, nor would it turn aside good news about minority group results.

So please contribute what you think is lacking! I hope and believe it would be as warmly welcomed as all other good news.

I'm another one who doesn't understand this. I'm confused how the news we're sharing of vaccine roll-outs, improved therapeutics, etc. is not inclusive of minorities? This information is applicable to everyone.

That PP posted the same complaint about not including minorities a few pages ago. I am thinking they may be a troll.

According to Bloomberg, more than 54.3 million shots have been given around the world, with 17.2 million given in the U.S. Also, good news from J&J is expected any day now, possibly as early as tomorrow. Hopefully, this week will get even better!

Potential big news tomorrow (Thursday). JNJ expected to publish results of their trial and apply for EUA soon after.

Fingers crossed, everyone!

I'm feeling more hopeful this week than I have in a very long time. I feel like a weight has been lifted!

Biden is the new President. Maybe this reduces anxiety and stress for many people (who are masking already) and now their immune system will be much stronger.

Also, the vaccine rollout will become smoother?

I have a feeling it will since we now have people who believe in science in the White House. Also, we'll hopefully get good news regarding the J&J vaccine this week.

201 pages of good news! Yay!

This always lifts up my spirit because more often than not, we wake up with tears in our eyes. It's been a rough past few months for us...

My tears have been flowing... with abundance...

Sweet!
My friends in Healthcare who have gotten the shot (and some have gotten the second one too) are all doing well with very mild side effects (some tiredness, sore arm)

I am fully vaccinated (mine was Pfizer) and can confirm this was my experience and that of most of my colleagues.

JNJ vaccine trial results not announced yet and some articles call it "any day". This one is front and center part of Biden's covid plan, I'm sure, since it's been mentioned several times by Fauci.

I've been out of the loop for a week on this thread, so SIAP. Pfizer upped its distribution total to over 2B worldwide covid doses in 2021. Great news.

JNJ targeting 1B in 2021
Pfizer targeting 2b in 2021
Moderna targeting at least 600M in 2021
AZ targeting 200m in 2021

Dr. Monica Gandhi on Twitter said she’s expecting the results any day now. Dr. Collins, Director of NIH, also mentioned the results expected soon n email to staff today.
