[Bethesda cyclist] Do you know this man?

We live next to the trail in Vienna but have to avoid it because of the crazy cyclist.

Can't be, Barr is seriously overweight.

You and I must have a different definition of seriously overweight, because the guy in the video is seriously overweight in my opinion.

Projective Anorexia. Fascinating.

I would not even walk near it. The cyclists are extremely aggressive.

You know who else should feel shame and guilt? This guy. For assaulting a child. For having an anger management problem.

Quit moving the focus to people identifying him or the litter or whatever. That is not the issue here.

It should be one of the issues. Publicly shaming the wrong person is far more harmful than the assault, given that no one was hurt in the latter.

If you think you know the guys identity, call the cops and let them deal with it.

Also, folks on Twitter are saying that the Aussie voice is the person taking the video, not the assailant. What says DCUM?

(I'm Deaf, by the way, hence not being able to listen myself. Also hence my existing anger at aggressive cyclists on mixed use trails)

I listened to it a few times, and the cyclist is definitley the Aussie. There are two distinctive male voices, one is the guy taking the video and the other is the assailant.

The girl wasn't a child. She is a small college student.

Totally. This dude got videotaped, otherwise he'd be just another typical high speed racer.

When are the local legislatures gonna grow some balls and severely restrict their ability to terrorize everyone else?

Which means she may well be a teen. Doesn’t really matter given that regardless of her age, she is very clearly a very small, slight person being attacked by a tall, bulky, extremely aggressive man.

Per Bethesda Magazine, PW has been cleared by police. This should have been obvious to most of us.

Hi, I'm a person who rides a bike, as well as walks, runs, and drives. *waves* I'm one of the many people on bikes who slowed down while passing you, because passing you at high speeds is a jerk thing to do. You might not remember, but that's ok; I understand that people are much more likely to remember scary events than non-event events like people on bikes passing you slowly and safely.

Also, the CCT is not a walking trail. It's a shared trail that's a major bicycle commuting route.

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to the Montgomery County park police finding the guy, who no doubt also drives like a jerk, walks like a jerk, and generally behaves in public like a jerk.

The guy grabbed her arm and wrestled something out of her hand. Let’s keep that in perspective when we consider this “attack.” It clearly is wrong, but people are acting like this was a vicious assault.

An adult male between 180-200 pounds running after a young woman around 100-120 pounds and grabbing her stuff to take it from her it pretty much a vicious assault. Try seeing it from the victim's eyes rather than the assailant.

You should try to see it from a dispassionate position not enflamed by his apparent anger over the BLM posters she was putting up. It’s intimidating, it’s wrong, but it isn’t vicious if you remove it from the political context.

I don't see the political context at all. But thanks for trying to tell me how I'm thinking. Which means you are wrong again about something in your posts. Clearly she was frightened and unsure what to do with her friends trying to assist. He was in a rage. He also literally attacked the other guy with his bike using it as a weapon. Justify that.
