I watched Happiness. There is a lot of gore but the leads are hawt and it is only 12 episodes. Interesting concept.

Next weekend once winter break starts! Cannot wait. I’ve read so many stellar reviews. Plus fell in love with one of the leads with his performance in Mr. Sunshine.

For a lovely PG-rated love story across the N/S Korean border, this series is worth the effort. Yes, many plot holes and silly towns people and a subplots no one one cares about. In the vein of Grand Hotel, if I had to describe.

Ugh - I loved this show. And still have a hole in my heart over it ending.

I don't interpret the ending of crash landing the way you guys do. They implied that this was the happiest two weeks of the year, but not that they don't get to see each other more often. I imagine Se Ri gets to go there quite frequently for her business if she wants and we don't know that. Captain Ri doesn't visit throughout the year either.

Her employees even said she must have a long distance romance. I don't think they would say that if she only went once a year. I actually think they meet there several times throughout the year but maybe the longest stretches for that 2 week period.

There is a classic Chinese folktale about two birds who upset a goddess and their punishment was to be able to meet only 2 weeks a year when the orbit of the planets allowed them to be close enough together to meet. The story is one of 5 in the most influential canon of Chinese literature.

I think it's vague on purpose....but her assistant did mention that she goes to Switzerland a lot. I am sure RJh finds a way as well with his dad's help. His mom was so happy to see him happy she would put the pressure on dad to figure it out. And his dad seems like he was always a step ahead of everything and quite smart, much like Captain Ri. You can't tell me that he hasn't found a way to go to Switzerland more frequently.

This is the story SeRi compared them to, but I agree. No way these 2 only see each other 2 weeks a year. They just couldn't come out and say it because of actual North Korea tensions. Pay attention to what others have said in the show and the photos in their home. They see each other often.

Crash landing was amazing. For sure in my top 3 if all time. Loved the ending and think they meet up often in Switzerland. It took a while for Juon Hyuk to get his new career but I think he goes there quite a bit with students. Not just the 2 weeks mentioned. They have a HOUSE there and SeRi's brother and assistant take care of business so she has more free time.
She does take a full 2 weeks off just to focus on their relationship each year though. I suspect after a few years and his parents die he will relocate to Switzerland permanently with her.

Any other suggestions like CL? TIA!

I took it as there is a time jump sometime around the recital and when they're in the house....that was farther in the future after he defected and they're living in Switzerland together. He seemed more casual and comfortable with each other like they've been together for a longer period of time. And they both seemed very happy and content with no North Korea minder around which he obviously would have if he was there working for 2 weeks.

It's completely different but I loved Offspring in the same way I loved CL.
