They were 11-5-10 with a +14 goal differential. It was the ties that kept them out of the Champions league. Not the 5 loses. Again, 26 games with 5 loses.

VDA and Maryland both beat #34 last weekend (Washington Premier). This is were the season ended off.

I think McLean will rise up in this age group next year.

Go with facts. Not emotions. You'll do better

VDA finished 3 points ahead of Carolina rapids for 6th place. That is one win.

You are the village idiot.

Standings
. The standings in each age
ECNL Conference shall be determined at the end of the ECNL Regular Season (the “Regular Season Standings”). The Regular Season Conference Standings shall determine qualification and seeding for the ECNL National Playoffs as provided in the attached Exhibit C.

VDA finished 3 points ahead of the Carolina Rapids in the regular season to QUALIFY for the North America Cup. Read your own league rule book.

Who is this VDA lunatic. VDA would finish behind Arlington, Spirit MD and FCV locally in the GDA and behind Richmond, MD United and next year McLean in the ECNL. That makes them no better than 7th locally in the 04 age group. Just stop it.

Not a VDA lunatic actually. I posted my rankings and one goof ball is challenging it. I'm defending it. I stand what I said. VDA / Maryland U and Baltimore Amour are the next best 04 teams behind FCV. You dont like it? Oh well. Here is where the season ended

Where the regular season ended is a stronger predictor of future rankings. Sorry but that hasn't really changed much.

So again, what has changed with VDA that they will make such a leap in Conference this year and locally?

In conference, which is what you will be playing this fall. Having some success postseason against other 5th and 6th place teams does not really advance your ranking as much as you'd like to think it does. Those final ranks are pretty rubish since especially since VDA was able to grab 6 easy points in the silver bracket after losing in the Gold. Md United won and had three draws against tougher teams in the gold bracket yet drop in ranks. Ok.....

Those rankings don't include the playoff results.so again, loud and wrong.

VDA finished in 6th place. Qualified for the second tier tourney by 3 points. Where will VDA finish in their Conference this year?

1. Bethesda/MRM Rush
2. FCV
3. VDA
4. McLean
5. Arlington

1 should be 3. Move 2 and 3 up one spot.

These rankings are bad. Mclean 05 finished ahead of all local ECNL teams in the league play but you rank them below VDA. Pipeline, which is not even on your list, regularly beats Bethesda/MRM Rush, your No.1 pick. Arlington does not belong in the top five. They lost to Spirit MD (twice) and tied Spirit (VA).

Nobody cares about pipeline dude. They’re in Baltimore and play ecnl/da B teams. Go away. You are ruining this thread and forum. Go argue about Baltimore teams with Baltimore people.

Forget the pipeline. Your top pick Bethesda has 5 wins, 7 losses, 8 draws and negative goal difference in ECNL league play. Bethesda is not a powerhouse, but you are putting them above FCV, McLean and VDA.

The last of the "Great" local teams are now over. FCV U19/18 and McLean U19/18 teams. Both made good runs in their respective leagues. Why the success with those teams? Because they had been well established since ECNL. This area will not see that concentration of quality players again as long as we have such a diluted landscape.

Pop the thumb out your mouth broski.

The U18/U19 is the weakest age group in both DA and ECNL

People with real knowledge know that the U16 and U17 age groups are the toughest age groups in the nation. The composite age groups are really hit or miss.

It should be because you are basing your "greatness" comment on it.

I was referring to a cohort of players not a age group overall.

FCV is the top local team in DA at both U16 and U17 age groups. Mclean is first in U17 age group in ECNL and second in U16 age group. BRYC is first in U16 age group and second in U17 age group.

And neither teams are even close to the nations top teams unlike the U19/18s.
