With all the changes that have happened for Spirit/MU, I don’t think it makes sense to put them in any results based rankings at this time. Many of the teams may look drastically different this fall in terms of players and results.
The others may be more defined because they have not had the changes MU will have baked in. |
IMO VDA 04 is #6 in the MA, McLean is #9 in MA region. The ECNL MA region is weaker overall comparatively IMO. Arlington and MU are both ranked lower, but against better competition IMO. FCV, Penn Fusion and Cedar Stars teams are very good. MU is losing players so tough to tell if it will be positive or negative for next season. |
Agree that the player shuffle will bump a team up/down a level or two. Don't know if it will be better b/c lower level players were not invited back (players which previously would be on the field hurting results) or worse as better players leaving. I know of 1 good player leaving MU for VDA, don't know of other good players leaving. |
MDU is stronger than Bethesda, I’d move them up too. Append the new Bethesda ECNL2 team to the bottom. They added 11 new players to the Legacy roster; 3 from ECNL rosters, 3 Stoddert, 2 Potomac (03 POT folded), 1 MDU, 1 Boudreaux, 1 Rush. |
For next year, 1. FCV DA (starting 11 will be very very good but 02s coming from the U17 team are weak) 2 BRYC ECNL (returning a strong core that was only two points behind McLean with good additions from U17s) 3. McLean ECNL (few returning players from U19s are quite good; most of team will be a solid group from the U17s) here's where the quality drops 4. Bethesda ECNL (graduating players being replaced with U17s who didn't win a game last year) 5. Maryland Utd (will be very close to Bethesda) 6. Loudoun ECNL (were better than VDA at U17 and U19 last year, will still be better than VDA this year, have a couple of good players joining the team) 7. VDA ECNL ( U19s who won 1 game in conference last year will be no better with addition of U17s who won no games last year) 8. Metro Utd (I'm not sure they will even be able to field a team; most if not all top returning players have left) Arlington DA - Not enough information. Probably better than VDA but not as good as Loudoun |
Sorry but your comments exposes your ignorance. First, your nobody care comments describes parents like yourself who don't have a clue. Second, there is not an ECNL team that has beaten Pipeline. Third, there is not a coach who has watched Pipeline who will not acknowledge that it THE tp team in the DMV and one of the top teams in the nation. If Pipeline were in the ECNL, it would likely finish as the #2 team in ECNL NE with only a potential loss to PDA. Sorry but Pipeline and teams like PDA are just on another level. And let's remember that the Pipeline probably has lost a player or two to DA yet is still dominate. |
Only a potential loss to PDA LOL!!!!!! It is you who is wrong about a great many things. |
A team that can only manage a tie against a last place Loudoun team is gonna give PDA a game. Hilarious. |
#2 in all of ecnl? Didn’t pipeline tie loudoun 05 who are the worst team in the mid atlantic division? |
| How about the boys? |
| This is fun making predictions before rosters come out! |
| Again, you expose your complete stupidity relating to competitive sports. Does Brazil suck because it was destroyed 1-7 in World Cup match against Germany? Get real folks. If you could pull your heads our of ECNL's a$$, you would know that Pipeline is above every team in the region except for FCV. Even the coach of the new and improved Bethesda ECNL will tell you that Pipeline is on a different level than any ECNL team in the region and his team has played Pipeline a dozen times over the past year including meeting each other in the the top brackets at WAGS and Bethesda. Notice that in those same brackets were ECNL teams who could not beat either non-ECNL team. |
They played bottom-end teams. Continental and Loudoun. |
And yet they could only tie a last place ECNL team in a weak ECNL division. |
| ok...lets concede to move on with more rankings. Pipeline is in the list. Lets add them at #3 and call it split down the middle. |
