No dog in the fight, but that made me laugh... |

Damn. I am sorry you had a bad day. Perhaps tomorrow will be better. |
My inner thoughts somehow ended up on this forum. Lol But I could substitute a few more clubs in addition to FCV —basically anywhere there’s da....they will come |
Exactly. Even if your point is that the team in the video is comprised of former Loudoun B team players, it's the simple fact that these girls are looking to just slam the s- out of the ball when it comes near them. No possession, no build up. Hell, just watching them warm up with 40 yard passes should be enough to pull their coach's licenses. FCV or not, if you play this way in an area with tons of kids and families with resources, expect another club to form/step in and dominate in Loudoun's back yard. |
Just got a new email from St. James regarding its U9 to U12 new Fairfax teams. Says practices will be at the St. James and at other Fairfax fields.
B team parent here from a good club here, we are now out. We can handle traffic to the St. James campus, but not risking a spot on our current team to commute to an unknown Fairfax field that could be over an hour commute in traffic. Fairfax is a huge county, and specific locations matter. |
After watching the game I think one of the missing points here is just how bad BOTH teams are. The opponent is second in the division and is that bad. Way to go ECNL. This is what happens when no attempt at oversight over standards or playing style happens. If that Carolina team can play that bad and be in second place in the division in ECNL color me unimpressed. |
Lol. Clown. Name your team. I will post video |
Not PP, but BRYC, MCLEAN, VDA, ARLINGTON, METRO UTR, STJ FCV I want to see see some video |
There - https://vimeo.com/130381872
Notice how the ball moves from teammate to teammate as opposed to opponent to opponent. |
Hey Loudoun parent, why don’t you find it yourself? Or maybe film one of your next games against the ECNL opponents above. |
Many of these girls look like Loudoun A players. Oh wait, they are. |
It's less about the quality of the players and more about the style of play. The Loudoun ECNL team in the first clip are girls who've been in Loudoun's system. Maybe they can play a better style, but you sure can't tell that from the clip posted. |
Agree that the styles of play are different, but you're still comparing apples and oranges with the FCV team (with Loudoun A players on it....) versus the clip from the Loudoun ECNL team earlier in the thread....
Have you seen the FCV B team play? It's a disaster too..... |
Agree. When any players are overmatched they tend to panic and play kickball. I have seen FCV do this plenty. Those same players when evenly matched have the time to make clean passes. Why would anyone expect any different from teenagers who are still learning the game? |
