I posted on one of the threads that I saw the movie and loved it. I have not read any of the authors books but the movie definitely treated it seriously and was pretty well handled. It wasn’t like award winning depictions but they did a decent job with it. It had some levity for sure. I was surprised that she didn’t elevate the seriousness of the film if for no other reason than she did a great job at a dramatic performance and it was a tougher role than a pretty flower shop owner. Surprised she wasn’t excited to highlight that. |
This makes sense. What a shame because the movie was good. |
Yes ! it is even more shameful when you consider that she's done irreparable damage with a segment of the demographic that she needed to make her wares commercially successful. From Reddit to Youtube, from Facebook to instagram etc, she's getting trashed by women---by young white women (older gen-zers and millennials). |

Another day, another entitlement
https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2024/08/21/new-blake-lively-offense-having-her-kids-ask-financially-struggling-film-crew-for-donations-to-pet-causes-report/ I guess the arrogant cluelessness did not end with Blake. Do better, next gen Reynolds! |
I guess we've now reached the point where we can say this is typical of her. Oh well! let's hope her booze and hair products are commercial successes and her husband can keep making DEeadpool movies till infinity, because it appears quite a few studios will now see her as a liability. |
I wonder if RR will cheat in her with a young ingenue now that Blake's film is more successful than his. History repeats itself. How you get them is how you lose them. |
How can you possibly say Blake’s film is more successful than his? His movie has made over a billion dollars. Her movie will never come close to that. |
Yes, her business endeavors and movies will never be more successful- I’m sure in part by design. He struggled with Scarlett’s success. But anyway I don’t see him leaving for a younger ingenue. They will likely go the way of Hugh Jackman - and end it amicably after many years so he can date who he wants and I’m not convinced that would be young ladies. |

Oh, no. This sounds like she is trying to copy her friend Taylor Swift.
From the article shared above: “Lively is seen in a TikTok video, encouraging female fans to turn an outing to the movie [about domestic violence] as a fun, female-bonding activity. She declares, “Grab your friends, wear your florals and head out to see it.” |
+1 he’s so gay |
Ryan Reynolds-Blake Lively Box Office Apocalypse: ‘It Ends With Us’ Beats ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ on Friday https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/it-ends-with-us-box-office-friday-1235971457/ |
100%. So gay. |
Oh oh, Ryan is not going to like that! |
Ugh, Blake is desperately trying to turn wearing florals to her movie into a "thing" - like wearing pink to go see the Barbie movie. It reeks of desperation. |
. To be fair, this was from August 10 - opening weekend for Blake’s movie and third weekend for Ryan’s. Overall Deadpool had made much more than it ends with us - hundreds of millions more. Movies typically do their best on the first week, maybe the first 2, and then level off. |
