Only Rosenstein can fire Muller. So Trump would have to fire Rosenstein and a few others under him, get them replaced and have the new people fire Muller.

I take this back. An AG who isn't recused on the subject could also fire Mueller. So if Trump fired Sessions and replaced him with someone else, that someone else could fire Mueller.

Trump would have to get Senate confirmation for that "someone else."

+ Amd the Senate has said they will not confirm a replacement for Sessions. Who is one of them, after all.

Podesta Group. Yikes.

You guys need to cut out the Trump can fire anyone stuff. He cannot. There is legislation in place. Mueller can only be fired in writing and for cause. I’m a GS-14 civil service lawyer, and he can’t fire me. Merit Service Protections and all.

But not THAT Podesta, FFS. You really have that much of a hard on for John Podesta’s brother? Maybe you should go after Roger Clinton again. Low hanging fruit and all.

Mueller needs to recuse himself already.
Maybe after Monday.

Remind me again why Mueller is refusing himself? Besides being very good at his job? Are you still harping on he and his wife had dinner with acomey in his wife as part of the transition between FBI Directors?

Just wait until Trump comes for Mueller. That's probably going to happen. Congress will have a decision to make.

I'm actually hoping that the Republican senators who announced their decisions not to run again did so because it puts them in a better position to act.

Whatever the indictments hold, enough people seem to know it will require action.

I hope CNN are not getting ahead of themselves.

Reuters and NBC have confirmed CNN's reporting.

And the WSJ.

The FBI paid for Steele’s travel expenses. Let that sink in

Your reply is totally not relevant to what you're responding to, and you're in the wrong thread. But if McCain gave the dossier to the FBI, and the FBI found it worth following up on, I don't see a problem with that. The FBI and DOJ had worked extensively with Steele on the FIFA case, and trusted him and his work.

Add Clinton’s and the Podesta, the DNC and Obama and it stinks.

More likely they are running from something

But they're still in office.

I think you're right about Chaffetz, who kicked up dust from his heels as he high-tailed it out of town. I'm willing to bet there are others of his caliber on the Hill who were too stupid to leave when they could. Or maybe they just couldn't.

Uhhh, not how it works at this level.

I'm sure the video is funny but, ugh, Kellyanne Conway gives me the creeps.

Roger Stone who was in full Twitter meltdown mode today had his account suspended! The strange sedan parked outside his house probably has him on edge.
