I care because I have a high school kid coming up, and whichever school she attends will be flooded with applications...stanford would go from 6% acceptance rate to 3.

So true.

I respect the president's many accomplishments in office, bUt by now the country largely seems over the Obamas.

While parents may care where the obama girls go to for reasons unknown to me, I doubt many young adults entering college will make that decision based on her applying there too.

I guarantee the 'wagers' on this game are for the fun of it. Nobody is losing any sleep over where Malia does or doesn't go to school.

Donald Trump went to Fordham, and I think I can say without doing a drop of research that their admission applications haven't soared just because he attended regardless of political affiliation.

Why? There are other games in town if it bothers you.

If you find this entertaining, then I suggest you get a real hobby. Learn to play an instrument, learn a new language, read something (sorry, no gossip magazines), something to make your life worth living.

Then why are YOU here?

When I saw the title of the thread, I could not suppress the impulse to heap scorn on all of you. I am obliging a moral imperative.

Tell that to the PP that is worried because she doesn't want admission rates to be affected where her DC is applying.

No, you are obliging the adage 'holier than thou.'

Time for you to move on.

This thread is not about you. However, feel free to run over to Off Topics and espouse your 'moral imperatives' about this or any other topic you like. It will be YOUR thread.
