I commented that this year seemed to be missing some star power or charisma. Someone like Nicole, Denzel, Viola Davis, Matt Damon, somebody!

Or Cate Blanchet, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt… At least they had stunning Halle Berry presenting.
Everyone in Hollywood looks the same nowadays…fake: faces, boobs, teeth, everything. Not many naturally gorgeous or even just natural faces in Hollywood. I miss old Hollywood class and glamour.

My kid said Conan O'Brien reminds her of Elon Musk and at first I was like "no they look nothing alike" and then I realized that due to the work they've both had done, they kind of do. Those super smooth foreheads. It makes them all look like pod people.

Yes- its Conan, Elon, Barry Keoghan and Cillian Murphy. They all have this weird look to them.

Wow!!! Gorgeous!

Love her. Someone once said that there's nobody in entertainment who has reached and is liked by as many segments of the population as Selena Gomez. There's Rare Beauty, her Disney work, her voiceover work for animated films, her English and Spanish music, Only Murders in the Building, and her serious film work, all of which she does very well.

Oof. It makes her waist look larger and draws attention to her old looking arms. Hard pass.

I knew I didn't like this, but it took me a while to figure out why.

Her boobs are RIDICULOUS. I'd want her in something that de-emphasizes them. And yes, cover or give her the option to cover her arms.

Her hair is too long -- not so much because of her age, but because it's getting straggly. Cut a few inches off. Dress in a color.

She looked much nicer at the Golden Globes.

I am 60. Agree with much of what you said. But disagree on the arms. That is why older women look so matronly at these events -- they are worried about their arms and cover them. Her arms a great and I think she looks good. Not like she is 20 but good. If you think she needs to cover her arms, got help us and help you when you turn 60! We need to set different standards.

No, I get it -- her arms are amazing, and she should show them off if she wants. It's the contrast between the ropy muscles of her arms and the HUGE inflatable boobs that is off-putting. If she had a wrap, she could kind of cover them if she felt like it or let them show if she preferred that. To me, her look here has pieces -- the boobs, the arms, the hair -- and it doesn't really work together, especially with the sort of harsh makeup.

Once you get to a certain age, you either get flappy arms or ropy arms.

She is VERY successful but I wouldn't say she's well liked by all. Her former BFF is about to write a tell all about their friendship (daughter of big Trumper). Then there's MAGA and the President who trolled her for crying about the immigrants. Then here's they Beliebers who don't like her either.

What is with Georgina Chapman and men that think they can kiss/touch women whenever they want - re:Weinstein and Brody kissing Halle Berry at 2003 Oscars after he won the first time.

Poor thing needs therapy. Bad picker. Wikipedia says she is dyslexic and was born with a condition that made her pigeon-toed. I’m guessing low self-esteem also made it easy for a rich powerful predator to mess up her mind.

Did you see Halle run up to Brody on the red carpet and kiss him? Then said "sorry" to his GF?

A friend met her when she was at the height of her teeny bopper fame and she was incredibly kind and friendly.

Agree with you. There is nothing wrong with her arms. I am more worried about her face. She is starting to not look like herself. I hate it when they do the things that start to make them look alien. It's so off-putting. I do not like that people are starting to find those faces to be "normal" on older women and praise them. Let people age naturally FFS.

It's her veneers - they are too big for her mouth/face.

The kiss was planned in advance, and she cleared it with Brody and Chapman. It just looked spontaneous.

She's beautiful, but her fight against aging is sad and ironic considering the topic of the movie for which she was nominated. In interviews she talks about accepting yourself yet she doesn't seem to be accepting her reality. It's one thing to be as healthy as you can but another to make yourself look unnatural.

On another note, I think it's time for a new haircut/style.

She was such a darling back then. I thought she looked great—loved the dress on her.

I said the same about Renee Zellweger in another thread. I don't know how they reverse the procedures that made them look different, but I like to see them look like themselves but older, as it should be.

Right? So “brave”.

And if i hear “I share this with the sex worker community” one more time I’m going to vomit. Like, sure, I’m sure the sex worker community is getting a boost from your stupid award.

What nonsense.

Thanking sex workers in the acceptance speech made me cringe. Women shouldn't be in situations where the only occupation they can succeed at is one that exploits them.

10:15, in disbelief that that movie beat out the other 9 nominated. Yuck.

I don't think she is beautiful because she has that weird mouth/cheeks thing going on...I don't understand how some women get great work done and others terrible work done. They are all incredibly wealthy and surely they can research the best surgeons. The contrast with Halle Berry for instance was nuts. Berry is only four years younger.
