How can we combat deep misogyny?

Anonymous
Unfortunately I don't think men can ever understand what it is to be female. As a group they lack the same degree of empathy women generally have.

Men will also always hate and fear women's power. Our best protection is LAWs which ultimately means SCOTUS. So yeah we're doomed.

Well we soon will have a president who appointed the first female chief of staff!

I think Nikki H would also have beat Kamala H.

So....why did she not get the nomination? Re-electing a president who previously lost an election last happened with Grover Cleveland (another fat philanderer). And Cleveland didn't engage an armed mob to avoid leaving office.

Are you suggesting that women understand what it is to be a man more than men understand what it is to be a woman? What are you even saying other than moaning?

Do you realize how galling it is to hear some of the most privileged creatures on the face of the earth (which western feminists undoubtedly are) blather on about how they are "doomed"? And then you want to brag about how much empathy you have? Spare us.

Hope it remains illegal to grab her by her ----

So, can men become women or not?

She's never even won one Presidential primary. Ever. Why do you expect things to just be handed to her? Do you think that little of her?

So, so, so true.

That’s all you’ve got? I bet it’s difficult for you to celebrate this appointment. Because it defies your deep seated belief that he hates women.

Would you agree that generally convicted rapists hate women?

As a white, male, never-Trumper I’ve been trying to get my head around how so many people could even consider voting for him. My son’s friends all voted Trump which is confusing because their values all align very closely with Democrats: equality, environmental sustainability, affordable housing, etc.

This Reddit thread helps me understand how this loss happens. Men feel they don’t have a voice in the democratic party. They have to apologize for their privilege before they can even speak - and even then, they’re likey to be labeled an “ist” and told to go work on themselves.

When you alienate such a large voting block it impacts election results.

The democratic party needs to refocus on its ideals (which are sound) rather than demographics and be truly inclusive.

My sons and their friends are the same way, PP. But what I've realized is this: all of these things that you list as their so-called values aligning with Democrats - equality, environmental sustainability, affordable housing - are nebulous concepts that don't affect any of them, really, on a day to day basis. So it's easy to say, sure, I support equality and environmental sustainability, blah blah blah. Who doesn't?

You have to remember: these are the kids who have had trans nonsense, white males are responsible for the world's problems, etc, shoved down their throats since they were in kindergarten. They see those real effects in their daily lives, if nothing else through all the anger that seems to surround their very existence. They are done with it, and so am I. As their mother, I too, voted for Trump.

This is weird. I'm in the midwest--in a red state. My son is a late millennial. He actually works in the trades and most of his friends do. Most of them are anti-Trump. One who is an econ graduate and works in business procurement and logistics did not vote for either candidate. His wife is Palestinian whose forebears were forced out in 1948. These guys are not homo- or trans-phobic, they are not racist (my son's business partners are a white guy, a Vietnamese guy, a black guy, and a Native American--not because of DEI, but because they were friends already and had related skills). My grocery store has at least 3 checkers whose gender I can't begin to identify, and before I retired, my job was in a multiracial workplace--IT--with a few people in gay marriages and several trans people, some of them in relationships with each other. They don't get bogged down in "privilege" discussions because they know it exists.

Put your nose to the grind and earn your stripes up. Life isn't fair, and it is a dog eat dog world. No one owes you anything. You are not entitled to anything because you have a vagina despite what your permanent victimhood.classes taught you while you were in college going $180k in debt for a worthless degree.

This might shock you, but there are women who are good at their jobs and who are terrible at their jobs. Just like men. There are far more people who are mediocre to bad than good, which means most women, just like men, are mediocre to bad. Next time, pick good female candidates of you want to win elections, not thoroughly mid to bad selections like Hillary and Harris.

The ones he will protect whether they like it or not?

There is a difference between "I love women" as if they are toys (some more expensive and glittery than others) and eye candy and knowing women as people whom you also love. I mean, do you go around saying "I love men"?

No. Look no further than the Ukraine and wars in many African countries where rape of men and boys is used as a weapon of war. Rape is a power move not a sexual move. When females and males are raped it is an act of power.
