"In a letter to Board of Education President Karla Silvestre on Thursday, Inspector General Megan Davey Limarzi wrote that one investigation will center around the school district’s process for receiving and responding to allegations of misconduct by school employees.

The other investigation focuses in on misconduct by Beidleman and allegations against him that were received since July as well as earlier complaints that were not investigated."

The state OIGE passed on investigating, in part because it had a conflict from a previous related investigation. Any idea what that was?

I'm low on the totem pole and still know and have known for many years about a good deal of the complaints that are now getting aired, so I find it impossibly hard to believe that Dr. McKnight didn't know as well. I also don't care what the Board is paid or how part time they are. They ran for this position to do a specific job, and they need to do it. I'm hoping those closed door meetings suggest that they're waking up to the reality that neglecting those responsibilities is hurting a lot of people, tarnishing the school system's reputation and putting them in an unflattering light - negligent at best and complicit at worst. I mean, if you don't want to make the tough decisions or aren't up to the job, let others run for office instead.

+ 1 for EVERY vote a Board Member is expected to make, it’s their responsibility to know what they are voting for. To do the job, they should review the information they are given and ask questions to the relevant parties. They ultimately were responsible for the Beidleman promotion and other erroneous decisions because of their lack of oversight.

Please don’t whine about the demands of the job. If they don’t want to do the work, they should resign.

WTH - What was the timing of the OIGE investigation? What was the outcome of that investigation? Who was aware of the parameters and outcome of the OIGE investigation? The Board and Dr. McKnight?

"Moving forward my office will work directly with Dr. McKnight and her staff"

Not hard to predict what the outcome will be if she is working with McKnight and company

It seems as though the Beidleman story has uncovered a lot of bones. His shenanigans spanned years. Who knows what will be uncovered if they keep investigating. I saw a list on an earlier post of those who were in charge when...

Did the investigation delve into who was working in the compliance office; the Title IX office, head of HR, the community/area/ directors or whatever they are calling themselves these days. How about Dr. Smith? It seems as though some of this craziness occurred before McKnight's tenure.

Lots of media at the BOE meeting today.

No one who knows anything will say anything. Just like Tuesday and all the other days. It’s a transparent investigation with a secret report that references other previously undisclosed investigations and all meetings are closed.

Good question- does anyone know what the state OIGE was investigating? It sounds somewhat recent, but I don’t remember ever hearing about their involvement…?

What about Khalid Walker who apparently didn't provide forms to those with complaints and dismissed those not on the forms?

From earlier revealed emails, it seems Khalid Walker thought it was worth pursuing and someone above had him kill it. He reports to someone named Michaele Simmons I believe.

I think you're misreading this. What Limarzi is saying is that she has no intention of working through the utterly toothless BOE. She's not wrong.
