All these people complaining about Allen and yet he ran totally unopposed. Why don’t any of you get off your asses and run against him if you think you can do better? It’s easy to just sit on anon and throw insults. Let’s see the actual plans you have for making things better, and then run so we can vote for you.

That’s the problem. Very few sane and productive people want that job or to be in the room with Nadeau, Allen and similar.

DC Council as a whole hasn’t worked out. It’s been corrupt and mostly superfluous, and now it’s harming those it’s meant to help. I say we do away with it in favor of professional city management.

I just know that this time around we shouldn’t be afraid to recall even if there isn’t a candidate yet. I do wonder if Emily’s List and similar organizations can help find a candidate that’s not a carpetbagger or enamored with disastrous social engineering experiments.

I don’t think Allen will ever have a political future again, however you might feel about him because he’s become a national liability for the Party.
