The only thing that tells you is that some people complain about him a TON. I never see a pro-Allen post on here and I never hear a pro-Allen statement come out of someone's mouth in person.

The worse crime gets, the more vulnerable that seat is. People are all about progressive values until they're worried a bullet is going to come through their window. Allen needs to get a clue.

You don't hear from pro-Allen supporters because they're actually pretty happy with him.

For example, Allen enjoys a 100% rating from key interest groups like the Youth Burglary Council and the Public Defecation League. He also was endorsed by major corporate donors like White Guilt Inc.

And that doesn't even include his other traditional constituents like the Revolving Door Alliance and Joyriders Local 2208, who at first had wanted to come out for him if it had not been for Congress vetoing his crime legalization bill.

Comer invited city officials to a hearing scheduled for March 29 and said the hearing would cover issues such as crime and homelessness. The offices of D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson (D) and council member Charles Allen (D-Ward 6) said they received invitations, and Comer said he has also invited the city’s chief financial officer and the head of the D.C. Police Union.
“Congress has sent a clear message to the D.C. Council: it’s time to make our nation’s capital safe again,” Comer said in a statement to The Washington Post. “All Americans should feel safe in their capital city, but radical left-wing policies have led to a crime crisis and rampant homelessness. As the committee with jurisdiction over the District of Columbia, the Oversight Committee has a constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight of the policies that have plagued our capital city.”

Yes!!! This is awesome. I’m torn though. I don’t like anti-abortion, zealot redneck politicians, but I also hate the rising crime in this town that apparently violence interruptors that don’t interrupt violence or restorative justice no prosecution policies are supposed to fix. Such a conundrum. Either way, I look forward to watching this on cspan. I hope they use the word “woke” a lot.

Yes, I'm sure these Republicans elected from far-away rural districts are REALLY truly invested in coming up with effective policies that actually make a difference in the lives of people who live in D.C., and not primarily interested in grandstanding on an issue that makes them look tough on crime without having to worry about what that means.

Just because you don't like the D.C. Council's choices doesn't mean the other people who also don't like them care about what happens to us.

You’ll find that most people don’t care any longer where the help from these ideological self-interested halfwits comes from.

If you think this is anything other than a chance for the Rs to throw some red meat to their base by dumping on DC, you haven't been paying attention. But I have no doubt that they will use the word "woke" a lot.

I don’t care. Maybe Allen can soundproof *his* house instead.
