| Men are pretty fun to watch right now. Youth and lots of energy and very good technically all over the field. The women’s team not so much but we finally get to have the team WNT turnover. Hopefully the coach gets a chance to pick younger players that he sees as the future. |
Watch the men’s side. Happens all the time. The ref did not lose this game the US did. Team was too old, injured and plays different styles. Other teams are playing a consistent style and selecting players who fit the system. In the past we could just pick the individual players. They would knock over and run by the other teams players. Those days are gone. We need players who can play soccer in a system. The passing, technical skill and soccer iq really needs to improve or get better younger faster athletes but pick a style of play. |
Half the fun of these games are watching the young players make a name for themselves. |
At 30 she would be one of the younger players on this team

Giant egos and prima donnas got the better of them.
Time to get down to business. |
While I agree with most of what you wrote, I watch a ton of men’s soccer, including most of the games in the Euro, and another half dozen games in the Copa America. One of the things I loved is that the refs mostly just told the players to get up in those situations. Not that there weren’t dives in the box, but there were no calls that I can remember that were anywhere near that. |
I never root against the USA teams. It is so sad that you Trumpers are so miserable that you root against the US. How sad and pathetic you all are. |
Spare me. Jaelene prayed about it and God told her not to wear the rainbow numbers. So she prayed some more and decided to retire, get married and have a baby. |
This. The US side traditionally relied on individual athleticism. Now as the rest of the world catches up on the athletic side but plays a team style game, the US will continue to comparatively slide. Watching the matches was generally like watching 11 separate individuals on the soccer pitch and not a team. |
The Australia has 9 players who play in Europe including Foord and Kerr. The best players on these team play in Europe. Actually the best women players play in Europe. That goes for the US who pay their players to stay at home. |
If she stay on the team she could have had a baby, got 150k a year salary and healthcare. …like two other players did. I wonder what the real story was. |
It’s a penalty every time. The question that should be asked is why Lavelle was back there? Was she covering for Rapinoe’s lack of defense? |
| It was Davidson not Lavalle |

The divide is great. This is what was said when someone brought it up again (not Hinkle):
Harris said to Hinkle on Twitter: “You don’t belong in a sport that aims to unite and bring people together. You would never fit into our pack or what this team stands for.” They didn’t choose to ignore her. They chose to harbor and espouse against her, even when it wasn’t Hinkle bringing it up much later. Sound like a team determined by the coaches or the players? Happens all the time in sports |
I would never root against America but then I would never insult America by kneeling in front of our flag. You cannot have it both ways. Viewership is at an all time low for sports. People are tired of the drama and the continual preaching. Most people would love to go back for focus on sports and maybe the platforms focused on when season is over. This goes for either pro or against America and all the things we do wrong. Sometimes you just want to watch the team and cheer on a player without wondering if that player would hate you if you voted the wrong way in their eyes. Love more personal come back stories and more focus on positive things. Anyway wish them well and think there are a lot of talented players on the team and I am sure they are stressed right about now. |
