I took my kids to Sameday testing in Old Town at 10 AM today and got results back by 6 PM. I did not pay extra for the 16 hour test just the one that said results in 72 hours and we got them back the same day.

My daughter and I just got tested at the Old Georgetown Rd Same day testing site. It was super easy.

Good lord do you have nothing better to do on a beautiful Friday than come on DCUM and be snarky? #SAD

Snarky? You've got to be kidding right? Children, teachers, and school staff might be infected by this decision.

Teacher here, and parents lie all the time! They even tell their kids to lie about where they have been. Also, your kids tell us everything...even when you tell them to lie. Parents who put their children in that position over vacation are pathetic. This a terrible example for your children. Not to mention you should just follow public health guidelines because it’s the right thing to do.

Another teacher here, and I agree - the kids tell all. Morning meeting will be illuminating tomorrow.

It’s a dumb rule, and one of the things I’ve taught my kids is to not blindly follow authority.

And your kid will be sent home. If everyone picks and chooses what rules to follow, why should anyone follow rules. All of this not to miss a vacation in the middle of a pandemic sounds a bit privileged to me.

Also, you have the right to move to another area that doesn’t have those rules. I would say you could send them to another school but even my kids private requires this.

Then they turn around and want to know why teachers don’t want to teach their kids in person. Parents don’t care!!! Little Tommy just had to have his island vacay! Epitome of privilege.

DC teachers have all had the opportunity to be vaccinated. Kids traveling on spring break are not a threat to them.

So you admit to raising a lier. Who gets to decide what are good rules to follow in your family? Do you also speed, steal, and vandalize because they are stupid rules and obviously you should be able to do whatever you want.

What about the other kids? They haven’t been vaccinated.
