I'm surprised you buy pre-ground at that HHI. No shame, of course, but I'm wondering if that's a time-saver or if you really just can't tell a difference.

$300k. 365 brand.

250K

I drink coffee, DH does not. I’ve used drip coffee makers for decades. During COVID I started grinding my own, and it’s so much better than pre-ground, regardless of brand.

I like some Starbucks varieties and Counter Culture. But I also buy Harris Teeter brand.

Oh, but if I’m out and around, Wawa coffee is the best.

$260K. Whole Foods 365 dark roast made in a Cuisinart drip machine. We used to grind our beans and make French press but ... eh. Our machine has a K-cup maker and I usually have one of those in the afternoon even though they're gross. We have a Nespresso that I use for after dinner espresso. I drink a lot of coffee.

I think coffee snobbery is largely an affectation that lets middle class people feel like they have extremely sophisticated tastes. Also if you grind it the night before you're not getting any real freshness benefit; if you grind it the morning of you wake up the house; if you wait to grind it until people are awake you didn't really need coffee in the first place.

Haha, I just realized you were talking to the *other* PP who drinks pre-ground at a $450k HHI, not me. Sorry to answer for you, PPP.

~$500k HHI.

Kirkland coffee, from Costco (It's Starbucks). I'd prefer D&D beans, but my spouse doesn't like them. Brewed in a Breville coffee maker, which is amazing.

Pre pandemic, my office made really good drip coffee, and also has a Nespresso machine, so I used those (free) options. My spouse still brewed at home and brought it in.

I absolutely refuse to drink the brown sludge that comes out of a Keurig. I don't know what that stuff is, but it ain't coffee.

$220k - 7/11 all the way. I only drink it on days I go into the office vs. work from home to motivate me to get my butt out the door on time.

$30k, Julius Meinl. Chock full o'nuts if I run out of Meinl.

This is exactly why we buy pre-ground coffee. I have zero interest in grinding coffee at 6:30 am, and if you don't do that, there's no benefit. So I'll just make my life easier.

I agree that freshly ground coffee is better - it's just not worth the trouble.
