Fenced in

So... just outdoors. How far apart were the adults?

It’s a highly contagious pandemic, Karen, so it is most definitely my business. It’s not about you - I don’t give a crap if you get it - it’s about you giving it to my kids or others.

Seriously, how often does this need to be explained to you?

I feel a lot better about adults being unmasked outside. If they weren't far apart that's just dumb and I would have left. Kids masking is a must because they forget themselves and tend to get closer but adults on a playground during the day (I assume no one was drinking) should be able to maintain a little distance.

I can never understand adults refusing to wear a mask.

My daughter was actually able to avoid the pack of adults most of the time, but their kids were all unmasked, and she couldn’t avoid the kids. 6-8 different families, all with unmasked kids. I don’t think my daughter will catch covid running past one of those kids outside, but I do think she could catch it from going down the tube slides right after them or being in a tunnel with them or being in a treehouse or waiting at the top of the slide with several of them.

It was one thing when I preferred masks at crowded playgrounds but it wasn’t the law. It’s the law now and some people still don’t do it. It’s infuriating.

Dumbass. It’s not the law in VA. They’re outside. Perhaps you need to stay home.

What? Yes it is the law in Virginia. Aside from you just being rude, you are incorrect. Everyone over age 5 (or 5 and over, I don’t recall which) has to wear a mask indoors or outside if they can’t maintain 6 feet of distance from people outside of their home.

Lol what does talking animatedly and loudly have to do with anything? Sounds like they were loud and animated because they were 6 feet apart, outside? Hmmm

It means their spit travels father than if they were speaking calmly. Smh

This is why we don’t go to playgrounds. It’s too hard to explain to little kids. Ours is so courteous with masks, she puts it in to say hi out the car window. I appreciate her caution for others.

I tell mine to avoid unmasked people on the playground.

It absolutely can, especially if carried by the wind, not sure what so special about your spit, though.

OP clearly said that the adults in question were blocking the pathway for everyone else. They were not 6 feet staying away.

Then stay home and keep your kids locked up. If you're worried about yourself and your kids, then understand that that is under your control.

I can't see if I where a mask because my glasses fog up. It's particularly bad if it's cold outside. I will wear masks if I'm close to others, but I don't wear them if I don't have to.

I would have left. Definitely not confronted them, people are crazy.
