Did you read the OP? Carleton and Mac??? |
Colgate is super lax bro-y. |
| Does she not like Oberlin? |
+1 |
Wake is very southern preppy/cliquey. |
Lake Forest is a terrible school though. Don’t go there. |
| Since she’s only been a student since the pandemic, does she feel certain the vibe will be the same once she’s actually on campus? |
It makes a difference though. It would be easy to find a school less liberal than Oberlin but there are fewer choices with some of the others. |
As another Carleton alum, I agree, but it does depend on your major. If you stick to science, it's not quite as crazy. This is probably true of most LACs. |
If she doesn’t like social justice, skip all the Christian schools. Jesus was kind of the ultimate social justice warrior and you’ll get that from reading His teachings esp at Jesuit schools. |
Actually, the student body is very very mixed. About 30% liberal, 30% conservative, 30% middle of the road. |
| There's always Liberty. |
| NP. OP asked a very reasonable question. Some people who responded are mean and do not accept anything different from their own political views. |
What are you talking about? I don’t see any mean replies. |
This is good advice. Although many conservatives find the Jesuits too liberal, in practice there are a lot of conservatives who attend these schools for a religious education. PP is right on in that service projects and not performative protests are emphasized. |
