All churches ask for donations, and all churches have elderly and poor congregants. Again, this seems like you have a problem with Christian institutions in general.

And people like you is why he’s worth $50 million!

That’s the spirit of Christ, right?

Why shouldn't he have money and blessings? "You will know them by their fruits."

He has been blessed and anointed by God, every obstacle cleared and removed.

People have hated on this man nonstop for the past 20 years and it just falls off him like water off a duck's back. That's proof of God's protection and a blessing over him. If anything, it makes me realize that what he says works

Does the money come from the Lord also? Or does it come out of the pockets of people, many of whom are quite needy?

Well he doesnt take any money from the church, so it comes from the sales of his books, like every other author. Are you this mad at Stephen King or JK Rowling?

Don't be disingenuous. These mega churches are money making operations that milk their congregations. It is a straw man to say PP has a problem with all christian institutions.

"Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God.
Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you, and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort."

"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God."

"Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in an steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Why? Because you say they do?

To the people who are saying how dare he be a Christian and live in a big mansion. I mean, I’m a Christian and I live in a big, beautiful home. Just because I’m not a pastor doesn’t mean I’m better than him. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that pastors need to live in a hovel but everyone else should get a nice house.

I mean, he’s rich. So what? Why is that a reason to judge him harshly?

Is the Catholic Church a money-making operation? Because it has a lot more money and property than Lakewood and congregants are encouraged to tithe.

Jesus had a lot to say about rich people, none of it good. Maybe it's not bad per se that he's rich, but it's not a sign that he enjoys God's favor or blessing. It's a sign that he's good at earning money, and keeping it. That's it.

If he's so rich and this church is taking in so much money, why did they get 4 million in PPP? Just asking again

It is a sign that he's been blessed, IMO. God elevated Joseph from slave to the second most powerful man in Egypt. He made David king. God anoints certain people to tell his message. Obviously, not all money is a sign of God's blessing- there are PLENTY of dishonest ways to get it. But Joel, as far as I can tell, has never done anything like that, has always, always told his Christian message, and that's been the source of all his blessings. So, yes, I do believe his immense success is proof of God's anointing
