How do you press charges? Is the phone record as evidence enough? Not op.

Just call the police. Harassment is a crime.

Do you know the restricted number is actually hers?

That would be a MAJOR issue to find out first.

I seriously doubt the police are going to investigate one night of phone calls from a number you don't even know.

Clean up your 'house' (metaphorically). Use this as a wake up call to start living a decent life and then you wouldn't have to be paranoid and worried.

Prank calls do not, particularly, one night do not rise to a level of harassment. Good god, the police aren't wasting their time with this. Also, you are going to not be able to lie to the police. IF you are telling your spouse some fake story---when the police get involved and the person shares---you are outed.

2. Ex-married man has/had more than side chick.

3. You were the one he either told her about or that she was able to latch onto.

4. Unless you've seen the divorce decree... they are probably still married.

5. Confront her. Apologize. Move on.

have you ever?

Who is “our”? If he’s your ex I assume you aren’t living with him.

Your story is not credible.

When people who cry “Troll!” make themselves look stupid...

So who is “our”?

The elderly neighbor, idiots.

If the calls are coming from a "restricted" number I'd assume the caller is blocking their number. Most cell phones have the "silence unknown numbers" feature which means she can call a 1000 times and you'll never be bothered by it. Most local police offices are not going to trace a number when the crime is repeat calls. If she were making threats, that's a different story. Stalking is a crime but it's more difficult to prove than you may think. Did the neighbor who saw the person in question take pictures and document times and dates? There would need to be multiple instances for it to carry much weight. She was here once or twice is probably not enough.

All of this to say, deep breaths, OP. If she's doing it out of pain mixed with curiosity then let it go unless it escalates.

With the election so close we are getting a barrage of calls from unknown and restricted numbers.

“Ex-boyfriend’s ex-wife”

Is there a more comical way to say my former affair partner’s wife. Lol

Op here

Dated ex briefly before the ink was dry on the divorce papers. Before some of you look too much into this he moved out, lived on his own in a different city I know this because I'd visit and hang out.. He's now legally divorced ( google is free). We are friends, I live alone. Our street was in reference to my elderly neighbor. Some elderly folks notice random cars that are on the street. This car on particular stands out in color and so does she. I know it's her because I answered one of the calls on the off chance it was an emergency I heard something distinct in her background.
