Why is Trump releasing videos on a Green Screen?

I noticed something: there is a leaf on the grass to the left behind him and at about 34 sec mark, it flutters away.

Yes, in particular look at the faint black "halo" around his head. That's one of those telltale green screen effects. He's definitely not out on the White House lawn. Also visible around his upper arms and shoulders, but against the navy jacket it's not as obvious as against his white hair.

He should do one of those effects where he snaps his fingers and he moves from the White House lawn to the Oval Office. That would be cute.

If you look at it on a bigger screen you can also see the trees in the upper right are blowing in the wind...the wind that doesn't affect his hair at all. So they used video footage of the WH lawn rather than a static photo. Probably thought it looked more realistic.

For those of you who disagree that it does not look like a green screen, why would he be shooting a video so far from the White House? The oval office is attached to the White House. I agree with those that say it looks fake

At this risk of sounding like some crazy Qanon idiot or something, as soon as he was diagnosed, I was worried that he'd die and the GOP would prop him up, Weekend at Bernie's style, and use deepfake videos to keep up the lie that he was still alive until the election. This thread is not making me re-think that theory.

Oh, he’s still alive and filmed this video. But there are a few points where I suspect they used sound editing to get rid of audible inhalations.

The seeming lack of white noise is another clue that it’s a green screen. Given how the wind is blowing, you should hear some ambient noise as he’s talking.

He’s still alive; he was just ranting at Maria Bartiromo this morning. But he’s definitely not doing as well as they claim. I would say he’s probably doing okay for an obese 74 year old with covid, but that’s not overall great.

And they will definitely hide it if he gets worse until they absolutely cannot. I bet KAC is actually being careful of what she’s saying around the house.

It is absolutely a green screen in today’s video, you can tell by how crisp his outline is against the heavily blurred background. Also, if you watch the vegetation in the upper right corner closely, you can see the background video loop every few seconds.

You guys are clever. I never would have noticed the loop with the trees on the upper right.

That's what I noticed. I couldn't tell if it was from edits or loops.

I'm not an expert on green screens, and always dismiss things that sound too conspiratorial, but it's true something about this video looks off. I don't know what it is.
