It’s clearly and obviously a green screen.

Except that it’s not. The Twitter Resistance was flat-out wrong.

Prove it. Why didn’t anyone else see him? The South Lawn is easy to see from the street.

Rather than walk out that far, he probably took a helicopter, landed, shot the video, and returned. Or if not a helicopter, then a black Suburban. No one notices black Suburbans in DC, they're everywhere.

What? Is this sarcasm? The South Lawn is out his back door. Is he supposed to have a mini helicopter land on the roof of the White House and float him down?

BTW You can see Marine One taking off-and-on from that same lawn from the damned street. That's where the helipad is located.

The man is not on the south lawn. The press is watching his every move. There is no way he did that without anyone noticing.

PP, it was a joke.

Yeah, I know — I’ve lived here for 15 years. But people would notice him standing there on the lawn.

Who would have seen him? The last time I was downtown, DC was empty, no tourists, no office workers, no one. It could have been 2001 during the snipers. This was in August, though, has it changed?

The implication is that he is either bed-bound or having severe fatigue - enough that he can't walk more than a few steps from his bed without physical aid and is afraid to go outside where his condition (or his oxygen tank) will be spotted.

It looks like it was breezy outside. I bet he didn’t want his hair to get messed up in the wind (his hair never moves but the trees behind him are going).

Disagree. I think most people think the most likely reason to avoid video, especially unedited, is that he's having coughing spells.

NBD to most people, but Trump has overcommitted to the "I'm cured!!" narrative, even to the point he said he didn't even need the drugs to ckick it anyway, and that he was (IIRC) in perfect health. Coughing doesn't fit the narrative.

He had a respiratory virus. Yes, he probably does cough - crap, I cough for at least two weeks due to a reactive airway following the common cold. Some docs say cough can last for a month after a common cold, and that it's normal. I expect him to cough sometimes. Again, I'm listening to him on Hannity and he's been talking for the past 15 minutes, and I heard him stifle a cough ONCE. Hannity can't get a word in edgewise, and that's saying something!

Sure, and like I said, NBD (no big deal) to me or most people. But The Lincoln Project and others have been SAVAGE lately. (Did you see Schmidt's series of tweets?) I wouldn't be surprised that he doesn't want any video of him coughing. It would be looped and giffed to the max.

Hey, I don't care. But I don't think people in general are assuming he's bedbound or with severe fatigue. Maybe? But it's a lot less taxing to sit than stand regardless, and he can lay flat if he wants on the phone.

I think he pretty clearly is a narcissistic -- and edging on manic -- angry old man who can feel his house of cards collapsing around him. I would not blame him for not wanting to give any ammunition to his opponents. That's not only humna, it's smart.
