Nope! Did monthly contract for this very reason. We'll walk and see if they come after us. And no, we don't feel guilty. We pressed them on their re-opening plans and they were intentionally misleading to get us to enroll. Let them come after us. My husband's a lawyer - I'm not afraid.

You are hilarious! Lol

To our HOS - thanks for an expensive 8 weeks of DL. You should have just opened like you SAID you would so your school would have at least been a better option than the publics.

You belong in public. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

What does that even mean? You're just upset that after years of dangling how "special" private was in the faces of public school parents, we enrolled and found out for ourselves that it's not all it's cracked up to be. The secret is out but keep wasting your money!

You need to understand how you come across on message boards, because you're embarrassing yourself. It's Friday evening. Back away from the computer. Go relax with a movie or something.

Laughing at OP is the best entertainment tonight!

Yep. Definitely not a good fit. My advice to the school HOS and Board would be: “You dodged a bullet. Imagine what else this family might do down the road, causing headaches for the teachers, staff, the community, and you. Chasing them for the few tuition dollars is below this school community and not worth the fees.”’

And I doubt her husband would appreciate the silliness if he actually practices.

Actually, he told me it would cost the school more to come after us and try and enforce it! And we could countersue because they lied about re-opening. A lawsuit is totally not worth it for the school. So what if we are banned from the school or any other private school for all we care, we don't plan on ever leaving pubilc again!

God I hope so but idiots are a dime a dozen lately.

If they have a waitlist and can fill your spot, it won't be a problem. But if they don't, be prepared for an ongoing battle, possibly legal.

If you are paying monthly, your contract is still annual. You are only on a monthly payment plan.

People will pass judgement on you no matter what you do. Live your life and don't worry about what other people think.

Super silly. I do have one kid in MCPS and one in private. No way MCPS will be back for my HS senior before February. I don't think they'll go back at all. Younger kids, ESL, and special needs. Hopefully they start some sports and clubs for the older kids and allow kids who need a safe place to do distance learning to do it from school

Bye! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

No way this long. Teachers will lose their jobs.
