Fastest Covid test turnaround (Maine requires testing)

Just booked at Preston’s for Friday. Fingers crossed. Need to go to CT to help my 87 year old mom post-surgery.

Medstar wouldn’t test my daughter even with symptoms and coming back from AZ. Waited 3 hrs online for a 3 min. screening with a nurse (same CVS does immediately online). I would not use them again.

Lee-Harrison Urgent Care did have the rapid test last week - call & see if they still do. Same day results.
You need to make an application McLean Pharmacy. Call now

”appointment” not application

This thread has been very helpful. Rhode Island also allows mandatory 14day quarantine from DMV unless you have a negative Covid test 72 hrs prior to arrival, or take the test in RI and await for results while quarantining. Unlike Maine, they do require minors to be tested.

Yes, thank you to the people who have been contributing to this thread. Just called McLean to be placed on the queue. They’ll call me tomorrow and results back by Tuesday.

How would that be helpful of you need to take the test and have results within 72 hours of your arrival?

When they call with the results give them your email address during the phone call and they'll email you the testing report.

They don’t actually ask for the test results when you go to Maine you know....

Wrong. The Abbott IdNow platform, which is the only point of care rapid test out there, has had an issue with false negatives. Up to around 30%...

But that's actually helpful, because you need it to be negative to avoid quarantine.

Took 15 days for my CVS test (July 5 to 20). Useless!

Dont think the quarantine rule currently applies if you live in DC bc positivity rates are lower than in MD and VA

My husband just got back from Maine, absolutely nothing at the borders, no attention paid to the out of state license plates, etc. If you really read their guidance, it's focused on what you do once you get there, where you're staying, who you interact with.

I'd spend your energy planning your trip up (long drive!) and time there and not worry about getting a test

If you must, go to a grocery store when it’s not crowded and wear a mask (obviously). Don’t go to restaurants. Don’t go to knick knack stores.

That’s not quarantining.
