| My work uniform is jeans and a tshirt. |
| You are comparing yourself to billionaire Nancy Pilosi? |
Me too!! Not just dresses- sweaters, tops, pants too. I have the same jeans in white, indigo, black, etc. |
|
I do this for summer. I know how to sew and I make several ponte knit dresses in a flattering fit and length. I like it because its easy and washable.
In colder months I mostly wear suits both pants and skirts. |
| I do this with mix and match brooks brothers suits in varying colors of navy, then I change out the blouse. Somewhere between capsule and uniform, but definitely leaning towards uniform. I love it. So much more comfortable and quick, and if you pick something that suits you, you are less likely to have a “i dressed weird today”. Plus it makes people have a certain image of you. |
Same! I have multiple things that I have in different colors (dresses, shoes, blouses, jeans). I wear dresses to work most days (except for now that I’m working from home and stuck to workout clothes). I love the idea of a work uniform. I went to private school K-12 with a uniform, so perhaps this ideas is comfortable for me because I did it so long! |
| Pre-corona, I traveled weekly for work and developed a bit of a uniform. I like to only bring a small bag with me, so everything would have to match with one pair of shoes/bag and one blazer. Generally, all of those would be black. I found it easier to repeat the blazer and just wear dresses that fit under the blazer or didn't require one, like the Nancy examples above. Some color and patterns for the dresses, but also a lot of black. I found sticking to the dress/blazer/heels combo to be more compact than packing separates. |
| The dress is pretty perfect. I would love one that was stretch ponte/easy fit sheath with cap sleeves. That way you can do blazer but wouldn't need a blazer like sleeveless. |

Pelosi needs a better bra. Yikes.
And I'm a bra evangelist who gets custom fit and sometimes -tailored bras. Small band size and a DD or E. |
+1 I think Warren's uniform is terrific branding and totally matches her public persona. I think Pelosi looks fantastic, too. I work from home so my uniform is usually shorts and a t-shirt, but were I back in an office - I probably wouldn't be as consistent in my uniform, but I would def have a few go-to looks and buy multiples. Even working from home, I buy multiples of things I really like. I prefer not having to give my clothes a lot of thought. |
|
I like the uniform idea and have one for myself, more or less.
Warren's "uniform" looked too sloppy for my taste. Pelosi's look wouldn't work for my body/taste, but I appreciate that it's tailored. |
After a certain age and five kids, a good bra only does so much. |
| I wear the same black pants and cardigan set almost every day (I own five of it) and I just have shells in a bunch of different colors. It’s much easier that way. |
|
A work uniform doesn't have to be a uniform as in Catholic school. Or a dress.
Find a style that suits you, and buy pieces that are interchangeable. I found a pair of pants that fit well, and bought them in 4 different colours. I mixed and matched tops, a blazer and a couple of cardigans. |
+1 Her clothes are gorgeous, her jewelry on point. I like when older women look dressier than everyone else. And I love how much I hate Warren’s clothes! They’re so perfectly on brand for her that until someone mentioned her, I didn’t think of them. They’re just absolutely functional. |
