Partially open. No large gatherings or close situations. No schools until the fall but open daycare for those who need it.
That said, I will not be among you! I am going to keep staying home and careful until the inevitable bump happens. But you guys go ahead. |
I’m waiting to see what happens in Georgia. Ask me again in four weeks |
OPEN OPEN OPEN
I'm a 44 year old SAHM with older "kids" (including a college student.) Dh is a 50 year old "essential employee" that has been going into the office throughout this whole thing (and taking public transport to get there.) We haven't really been affected financially by this but our hearts break for those that have. |
I'm so sick of hearing this. If you drive and get in an accident, you forego medical care! If you EVER have a sip of alcohol, you forego medical care! If you paint your nails, you forego medical care! Everything is a risk. |
I don’t get PP’s line of thinking. Kids with peanut allergies still go to school even though kids at other tables in the lunch room can still bring PB&J. People take PB&J to Public picnic spots where people with allergies may sit. Are kids or adults with peanut butter allergies denied health care because they dared to venture into the world? I’m pro social distancing, and except for trips to the grocery store every two weeks, we’ve not socialized outside our household. (I see a ton of neighbors in NoVA socializing quite a bit when I’m out pulling weeds in my yard.). So I’m not advocating open everything up with intelligent precautions, but I am advocating that things open up more. Unlike DCUMlandia many people don’t have savings or jobs that can be done remotely. There is risk to living. |

Then help people. You have the time and resources |
Not n the same scale. Use some sense. |
Oh really???? I’m a policy analyst. |
Open things after deaths/new cases have declined sufficiently, and widespread testing and tracing are in place. This isn’t about do I like being locked down or not. What is that even supposed to mean? |
As for the economy, the government should stop with the tax cuts to the rich and bailouts to huge corporations. They should make sure the little people have enough to come through intact. It would be a fraction of what is wasted on the rich These are all totally false choices — economy vs health, lockdown vs freedom. I fear for how uneducated our country has become that people actually think like this. |
The virus has killed a lot of old people in nursing homes who didnt have a lot longer to live anyway. Car accidents, on the other hand, kill young people in the prime of their lives. |
And that's all you have to add? |
