How did shelter at home change your workout and weight

I’m down a pound or two. Though I’m pretty much eating whatever I feel like, there’s still kind of a cap on how much damage I do when eating at home. This has really made me realize just how much more fattening restaurant food is. I’m generally pretty conscious about what I order too. Exercise is about the same. Run or bike most days and weight-train a couple times a week.

I have lost 5 lbs due to cooking all my meals. Previously I bought almost every lunch during the workday and ordered in 2-3x week for dinner.

I gained 5lb in the first 2 weeks, then the Peloton arrived. We also have a bench and weights in the basement which only DH used (I was a gym-goer).

The 5lb is pretty much gone now. I LOVE the Peloton, I can't believe none of my friends have gotten me into that cult before. I've totally drank the kook-aid.

25 pounds, in a month??

Lost 3 pounds. Less time sitting (work from home, without commute), more time to exercise, less impulse purchasing of food

I'm a bodybuilder and have to rely on dumbbells which are not heavy so doing lot of high reps. Not much of a cardio guy but been jogging recently just to be outdoors. Also I found some jump rope which I've been doing at end of my workouts. And they are tough! I could barely do a minute at first.

DH and I talked about how since we're moving less (we live in the city and are no longer walking to bus stops, to lunch, etc.) we need fewer calories and pretty early on adjusted our portion sizes.

I do yoga at home daily. We don't own a scale but my clothes seem to fit the same, so if I've gained weight I doubt it's more than a couple of pounds.

Unclear?

I was going to the gym for cardio 3ish times per week.

Now I walk 3-4 miles 6ish days per week. My arms are probably losing muscle, but I think I am at least maintaining weight. I'm not snacking as much, oddly.

5'7'', size 27 jeans are fitting better than they did a year ago, which was the goal!

Just been doing crunches, lunges, squats and daily wanks. It’s working for me so far.

I don’t own a scale so I’m not sure. I’m exercising a lot more (running every day) but eating worse. I think they’ve cancelled each other out and I weigh the same. At least, my clothes fit the same.

Down a couple lbs from no Starbucks or Mexican. Also not exercising because I can’t seem to find the time or motivation with 3 young kids at home.

Pre-COVID: run 4 days/week, hit the gym 3 days/week to lift weights and some the arc trainer, do yoga 3-4 times/week for 45-60 minutes.

Now: run 4 days/week, do yoga for 25-30 minutes every day. On my lifting days I do a routine of 100 crunches, 50 push-ups, 50 squats and 25 reps of 12 dumbbells exercises. I split up the workout into 5 portions, one every hour or so till done. I added lunges this week. For cardio, on my lift day so am doing 5 miles on the bike and a total of 5 miles of walking.

I've lost a couple of pounds. If I can stop drinking or cut back, I could lose more.
