Girls:
*Leighton
*Lennon
*Everly (although may be becoming too popular for me)
*Lainey

Boys:
*Wesley
*Easton
*Weston
*Colton

Every and Everest are way too popular right now.

From your girl’s list I like Leighton the best. Boys: Wesley.

If your open to suggestions: Hart for a girl and Bowen (no Bowie) for a boy.

Op here- Everest isn’t on my list?

Definitely open to suggestions. Unfortunately I don’t like Hart or Bowen but thank you!

What about Tierney, Ellis or Brady? Could be either boy or girl.

I truly loathe Easton. Sounds so trailer park. Please keep trying, OP!

Lainey and Wesley are okay.

If she’s overweight the kids at school will
Call her “weighsaton” or “eight ton.”

Or in the case of Leighton Meester, Weighton for mom and her baby daddy to get paroled. Or Weighton to get outta the trailer park.

That could be a list of tonight’s dancers at a strip club in Kentucky

Do you teach your kids to be ass*oles like that? Because I don’t know any child that makes fun of someone’s name and I’ve heard some awful ones. Sounds like crappy parenting to me.

aren’t you a peach? Please share, what’s your child’s name?

NP but agrees with PP, Caroline and Thomas.

That’s what I thought. Basic.

As others have suggested: Laine, Lane, or Leigh for a girl. I’m pretty sure OP would find Lea too common, but I think that’s an elegant, graceful name....
Eliza?

I think Wesley is okay for a boy.

Op here- Leigh is actually my middle name and I don’t love it for a first name. Layne was on our girl list but I tend to go for longer first name with a short middle name. But it’s not 100% out.

Your boys names, with the exception of Wesley, are really dreadful, OP. Very teen- mom trailer park names trying to sound posh. Please scratch your boys names and start over.

Girls names are all fine. Lennon is dicey (John Lennon association is great; Vladimir Lenin association is really bad and may be offensive to some she encounters in her life).

Really, really bad boys names, OP. Pray you have a girl. Out of the girls names I like Leighton the best. Lennon is cool too.

But you and your partner really need to go back to the drawing board on boys names.

Layne is 100x better than Leighton, which will be pronounced Leeton.

Others:

Lela
Layla
Lanae /Lanay/Lannae
Lia
...or at very least spell it Layten

Leeton rhymes with Beatin’ which is pretty tragic

Nah we’re just giving honest feedback. Just Heighton on the trashy names.

Better basic than a name that sounds like your kid should be robbing a pharmacy of OxyContin.

Anonymous wrote:Lainey is ok...I guess. What about Elaine and nickname Lainey? Guessing that’s not your style but it gives a little more option to your daughter as she grows up.

Don’t like any of the boy names at all. But I know a Weston and he’s a great kid so if I had to choose I’d pick that.

Elaine, Elena, Helena, etc could all be Lainey

I really think Elaine/Elena/Helena might be the best choice as she can choose Laney or Laine as a short version
