The way a child is raised and the environment they're nurtured in absolutely has everything to do with them becoming murderers while still living at home.

Which has nothing to do with parental age.

A bunch of arm chair old mommies online trying to feel better about how this could never happen to them.

It has everything to do with parental age. If you're unprepared mentally (everyone knows teen brains are still developing post-18), financially, or educationally to raise, support, and educate a child you are stunting not only their development but the aptitude to embrace life's challenges.

I guarantee the six-year-old was more well-rounded and had far better opportunities because his parents were in their late 20s and had stable financing when they had him.

The mom also posted pictures of her taking the younger child to team events and games - all of which cost money and are opportunities the older child likely didn't have.

Resentment breeds callousness and in this case - murder.

Need to do something about gun control. But nope.

On the contrary, I'm think this is happening more and more.

There needs to be a public consensus on it because teen boys have become even more lethal since Columbine.

Or maybe its that in the past...they were sent off to war didn't have the opportunity to be family murderers?

No, none of that is a reasonable explanation.

Just stop.

There's nothing 'reasonable' about a boy murdering his mom. That's the point.

Oh, mom deserved it. She shouldn’t have been a teen mom. Plus she loved her younger son more. She failed to raise him correctly.

Do you realize this is what you sound like? It’s idiotic and cruel.

Of course she didn't deserve it. But people are ignoring the aspect of what teen or young pregnancy does to the CHILD.

I see posts about having kids younger is good for your body and bouncing back...well, what about the development and profile of the child you brought into this world?

You have a responsibility to safe guard, nurture, and provide the best environment for them to grow in. When that doesn't happen - then experts need to question why we're having all these male teen mass and family murderers spike.

Its affecting society and safety. Just glad he didn't shoot up a school when he was done.

Show me proof that teen moms raise more killers than older moms. Proof, not your personal, flawed opinion.

Teen pregnancy is down, teen murderers are up. So that doesn’t help your flawed premise.

Teen pregnancy is down. Teen murderers (which resulted from pregnancies 15-18 years ago) are up.

See how that works?

All I said was environment affects development.

Teen pregnancy peaked in 1957, so teen murderers should have peaked between 1970-1975.
