I don't know why he didn't just run away if his home life was that awful. I can understand why he would be angry with his parents for their racist views but to kill them and his little brother over it and then flee? Why?

Especially since, at 17 he was less than one year away from being able to get out of their on his own.

He has grandparents who are involved, and hurting right now. They would have taken in his brother.

You've made that up, you know that right? You are creating a narrative for which you have no evidence. And it is a narrative that is sympathetic of a killer of a 6 year old. Maybe have sympathy for the 6 year old murdered by his big brother.

When I googled this case a few days ago a thread on FFU came up and people had been posting that the parents were racists and that the girlfriend was AA. I am pretty surprised FFU was right.

I agree, and I don't read FFU with any regularity (there are some really terrible posts on there), but there were several posts as soon as the crime occurred re the parents and the girlfriend, and many posts stating the kid was well liked. All seem to be substantiated by the WaPo article.

I found another thread on FFU around the same time that said the TCW student who was arrested for killing two people down in Halifax County took an Uber back to Alexandria. If that ends up being true too I will be amazed.

The kid's name is actually Leviathan, which was also the name of their pet snake. He just goes by Levi.
