There are probably only a couple of girls on FCV who could make the Loudoun Roster now anyways. The tables have turned

Here we go again. Same story as the Loudoun 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 years ago. Take a look at Loudoun 06 vs. FCV 06 aor Loudoun 05 vs. FCV 05 (the last two of this commentary). As the teams age, the talent leaves Loudoun and goes elsewhere. Until that stops happening, Loudoun Dad's perennially wrong opinions are worth exactly nothing.

Next year we will hear how the 08s at Loudoun have all the talent and that FCV has none. Then 09s, etc...

How many Loudoun ECNL 07's have been migrating to FCV over the last two years?

The only common opponent found for 07s is Penn Fusion DA. Loudoun lost to them 2-1. FCV plays them soon. However, FCV is at the top of the U13 DA Atlantic standings above second place Penn Fusion. So saying "there are probably only a couple of girls on FCV who could make the Loudoun roster now anyways. The tables have turned." seems kind of absurd and arrogant.

Not as arrogant as assuming that kids are going to continue to migrate to FCV anymore.

The tables turning simply means there is no inherent push to FCV or real FOMO. If they didn't think much of FCV at U10 and their kids can showcase and are on a top ranked team exactly what are they missing at FCV that at U13 or U14 that would cause them to change their mind ?

LOL, so you really think a parent is gonna move their kid to FCV because of a 1 goal loss to a common opponent? How dumb does that sound?

And don't forget FCV is in first place in their DA division in 07, 06, 05, 04, 03 and 02/01.

Loudoun standings starting with 07 - 1st, 8th, 7th, 6th, 11th(last), 7th.

Now maybe you can see how some of the unbiased people think Loudoun Dad's argument is foolish and arrogant.

People will go where they feel has value. Maybe that is FCV, maybe none of Loudoun's players find value there, maybe none of them are a good fit. Who knows? But saying with certainty that Loudoun is now ready to be a powerhouse is simply not supported by anything but hot air. Yours.

Could be many reasons, the strongest being most moves like that are for recruiting years. The 07s are about 2 years away for that.

Unless that was sarcasm, you must have missed the post that shows how Loudoun is doing across all ECNL age groups.

Recruiting years for what? Are you implying that ECNL does not have showcases that play in front of the same coaches?

The Loudoun 07 ECNL team is a top ranked team that will showcase very well. Exactly what does FCV offer, especially in Springfield, that Loudoun doesn’t already have?

Are you suggesting that college coaches are spending their time scouting 6th and 7th graders? Come on. Just stop. Your posts are getting more and more absurd.

That isn't what I said at all.

Exactly what does FCV offer Loudoun ECNL players during recruiting years that they will not get at Loudoun?

What is keeping kids from coming over now? If, according to you, the onslaught of players migrating to FCV begins at U14 and U15 how many outside kids have shown up to those ID sessions?

Rising U13 is when most kids look to make that move. They land on the team they make and most typically stay. After U14 there is only minor horse swapping as a player looks for a different role or playing time or what have you. But if you are only getting 4 or 5 kids coming to a tryout at rising U13 those numbers are not going to dramatically increase as the kids get older. It just doesn't work that way.

When FCV and McLean only had ECNL U13 and U14 would regularly see 40+ external kids at their respective ID sessions. That number would drop to a mere handful after U14 as kids just settle in and give up chasing the dream. The actual current turnouts are far less than they were when all those top ranked FCV and McLean teams were formed YEARS ago.

FCV is simply no longer a destination club. It is a club with historically good teams built during a different landscape than is now present. Sorry, but they have to compete for players in a much more competitive playing-field.

It simple is not that hard to be on top of each division in DA. The teams in this division that are in the DA are week at best. This was proven when FCV went against ECNL teams in scrimmages/showcases and either tied or lost. ECNL has better competition, hands down. You want to be called the best FCV? Play ALL the ECNL teams in the DMV at each age group and put your money where your mouth is. The secret is DA won’t allow it. They have to much to lose. DA is full of hypocrisy and FCV is sitting right on top of that triangle. Simply put that club is not that good nor is the teams but anyone can look like a superstar when you are going up against mediocrity.

Where are you getting your information from? Loudoun 07 has played Penn Fusion 3 times, and won twice, lost once. Loss was PKs at Region 1 finals. FCV recently played Penn Fusion (November) in a DA game and lost 3-1. It's funny how FCV hasn't posted that result yet......
Anonymous
FCV will post that Penn Fusion result after DA player deposits clear the bank for 2020-21. Posting it now would only hurt recruiting efforts underway. No point in that happening.
