Loudoun ECNL 07 Is number one in ranking right now imagine if those girls went to FCV? FCV is no longer a girls powerhouse It will keep going downhill they would get lucky because they will take the best players from loudoun they can't do that anymore
There are probably only a couple of girls on FCV who could make the Loudoun Roster now anyways. The tables have turned
Here we go again. Same story as the Loudoun 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 years ago. Take a look at Loudoun 06 vs. FCV 06 aor Loudoun 05 vs. FCV 05 (the last two of this commentary). As the teams age, the talent leaves Loudoun and goes elsewhere. Until that stops happening, Loudoun Dad's perennially wrong opinions are worth exactly nothing. Next year we will hear how the 08s at Loudoun have all the talent and that FCV has none. Then 09s, etc...
How many Loudoun ECNL 07's have been migrating to FCV over the last two years?
The only common opponent found for 07s is Penn Fusion DA. Loudoun lost to them 2-1. FCV plays them soon. However, FCV is at the top of the U13 DA Atlantic standings above second place Penn Fusion. So saying "there are probably only a couple of girls on FCV who could make the Loudoun roster now anyways. The tables have turned." seems kind of absurd and arrogant.
LOL, so you really think a parent is gonna move their kid to FCV because of a 1 goal loss to a common opponent? How dumb does that sound?
People will go where they feel has value. Maybe that is FCV, maybe none of Loudoun's players find value there, maybe none of them are a good fit. Who knows? But saying with certainty that Loudoun is now ready to be a powerhouse is simply not supported by anything but hot air. Yours.
I asked how many Loudoun 07’s have moved to FCV over the last two years? Crickets. If FCV is so awesome why are they waiting to move?
Could be many reasons, the strongest being most moves like that are for recruiting years. The 07s are about 2 years away for that.
Recruiting years for what? Are you implying that ECNL does not have showcases that play in front of the same coaches? The Loudoun 07 ECNL team is a top ranked team that will showcase very well. Exactly what does FCV offer, especially in Springfield, that Loudoun doesn’t already have?
Are you suggesting that college coaches are spending their time scouting 6th and 7th graders? Come on. Just stop. Your posts are getting more and more absurd.
That isn't what I said at all. Exactly what does FCV offer Loudoun ECNL players during recruiting years that they will not get at Loudoun? What is keeping kids from coming over now? If, according to you, the onslaught of players migrating to FCV begins at U14 and U15 how many outside kids have shown up to those ID sessions? Rising U13 is when most kids look to make that move. They land on the team they make and most typically stay. After U14 there is only minor horse swapping as a player looks for a different role or playing time or what have you. But if you are only getting 4 or 5 kids coming to a tryout at rising U13 those numbers are not going to dramatically increase as the kids get older. It just doesn't work that way. When FCV and McLean only had ECNL U13 and U14 would regularly see 40+ external kids at their respective ID sessions. That number would drop to a mere handful after U14 as kids just settle in and give up chasing the dream. The actual current turnouts are far less than they were when all those top ranked FCV and McLean teams were formed YEARS ago. FCV is simply no longer a destination club. It is a club with historically good teams built during a different landscape than is now present. Sorry, but they have to compete for players in a much more competitive playing-field.
