Obviously not. Practices we see several teams at once, so with practice day to day, parents, specifically me, have not seen this. Games, we occasionally watch other teams, not all though.

Which age group are you with?

How is my DD's age group relevant?

They use 1 field these days with 2-3 age groups at one time on the field. It isn't that hard to see and hear what is going on with multiple teams at once.

I've watched this for YEARS. I have never seen some of the atrocious things in which some on this site are accusing the FCV coaches of doing. I also have conversations with my kid in the car about these things. The girls really like most of the coaches. Some are tougher or show some favoritism that are less liked, but overall she is VERY happy.

Because DA parents aren’t allowed on the sidelines at practice.

Yes, we are not allowed right up on the sideline, but can move around the fences and sit on the edge of the field without BP saying anything. You can also walk and hear.

Then again, you can sit up on the hill and chat with the other parents and watch.

The conversations in the car are very important to discuss what is seen.

The point is you can’t actually directly observe what is being said by the coaches yourself. As long as your kid says everything is fine well of course it is, I mean an abused spouse never says “no, it was my fault, he loves me”.

Let me help you folks out. Many of the posters on here are both morons and haters. I am not affiliated with FCV but I consider it the best club in the region. I don't care what metric you consider, FCV is very strong. It is hands down the best DA club and it is debatable how strong the club is re: McLean but I believe that FCV wins against McLean in every age group.

One metric which can help determine the strength of a club is the number of clubs signing with top programs. In the list of schools, Navy, Duke, UVA, VA Tech, Penn State and Wake Forest are all programs that played in the NCAA tournament. You would be hard pressed to find that many commits to tat many top programs. McLean is the only other local team that can rival FCV. McLean's top team placed girls at Duke, FSU, Navy, Clemson and Penn State. For all the haters out there, get a life.

Yes we know, we know. Currently, for only the girls DA teams 8th thru 12th grade, FCV is very strong from a player perspective. No one disputes that. What is disputed are other things about the club including its future beyond the current state. But yes, they have many of the top female players for those graduating classes in NoVa.

At least FCV does HAVE 08 and 09 teams. Metro couldn't field an 07 team last year. They will have to pull from lots of partners, clubs that could send top players to other DA and ECNL options as well, to get an 08 team to compete at the DA level.

Metro’s main feeder (GFR) is way better at 09 and about equal at 08 to FCV.
