An outside player needs to be better than those on the team to make the team. Equal is not good enough. There a handful of girls 05 and older that could make FCV team at each age group. A small handful. And when you talk about starters the numbers are almost zero.

I am not a FCV parent but have a kid considering FCV. The teams are absolutely the best in the area and they might not have the top 18 but they have some of the top players and are solid as teams so it will be hard to break in. You might be the best center mid in the country but FCV''s current mid is in place and is effective. No way you can come in and move her out even if you are the best. You'll have to come in and win the call to the staring line-up and who want to take that risk when they are likely the star on their own ECNL or DA team.

If there is fear about trying out it’s because the word is out that FCV treats its players and families like dirt. Or if you’re in the 05 age group, any outside parents don’t want to take boxing lessons or self defense classes

The numbers were in line with other tryouts in the area for other clubs.
