Yeah, I don’t know how people do this. I can’t even stay asleep at night if I don’t eat enough during the day. If I have to fast in the morning to get blood drawn, I feel completely sick and exhausted. |
I can see two possible reasons. 1. You don't have any excess fat for your body to tap into for fuel. 2. You are eating standard/high amount of carbs. That's why you experience sharp blood glucose drops when you skip a meal. If you really want to fast, go low carb first. I was like that before ) I dunno, there may be some medical issues as well but those two I listed are probably more likely. |
All that you feel is just that normally at this time your body eats. It is like a reflex, you get hungry because your body is used to getting food at this time. You think you will get dizzy, and you might a first few times. I get dizzy when I get our of bed fast. Should I just stay in bed? Since you have never done this, how can you tell when your body would do now, at a much older age? I easily go 36 hours, the truth is I don't get sick and after I wake up in the morning when I break the fast, I am not hungry at all. In fact my body is sending no signals it needs food. The reason for this is that it doesn't. Now, if you do get a bit dizzy, take a bit of salt, that's all it takes for you not to be at all dizzy in 2 days. |
DP. When I wake up after 36 hour fast, the mind clarity and energy I feel is insane. I am not hungry, not thirsty and I could keep the fast going. I usually don't, but don't knock what you don't know. |
| I suspect most of the anti-fasting crowd has an unhealthy relationship with food. There's really no logical reason for the hysteria around fasting. No one is hurting themselves by fasting a few days, especially people who could stand to lose a few pounds or are looking to retool their appetite. If it's not for you, that's fine. But stop interrupting threads with your bizarre, hysterical reaction. |
I just came back to say I've gone 30 days without eating and am now able to pass through solid surfaces. I've never felt better. |
The reaction is meant to make them feel better, so portray others as insane and crazy, and to justify why they are fat. We are meant to survive long period without food. They cannot comprehend what they don't want to. Weak. |
My thoughts exactly. |
Right on sister. I am here working on my huge research paper, sipping on Pellegrino, and have not eaten today. Mind clarity is awesome and I am not hungry. |
This. Here’s a cookie, OP. Congrats. Happy now? |
Hahaha |
You are my kind of people. |
Try having faith. |
That means your insulin is out of balance. You should try whole 30 to get it normalized. |
