Sports fans in D.C. tend to get in the faces of of people (who are minding their own business) wearing the opposing teams' shirt. I have seen it enough times, though second hand. Not a good look, in general.

You clearly havent spent time at many sporting events if you think DC fans are rough.

HAHAHAHHA. Wrong. DC fans are rude.

Really? DC has so many people from other places that most sporting events have a good number of people supporting the other team. I've never seen an issue. There were Astros fans in my section on Sunday and no one said a word.

Also I'm guessing you've never been to Fenway wearing a Yankee hat. You take your life in your hands for that, but it doesn't stop my DH from doing it.

OMG truer words never spoken, in bold above. I’m married to a Giants/Mets fan. We have been to almost every Giants-Redskins game here since we met 25 years ago and tons of Mets-Nats games. No one ever hassles him just for wearing the other jersey, and he always does. We’ve been to multiple games for our teams in NY and Philly and get hassled constantly, and no, we don’t even wear jerseys in Philly, because that’s taking your life into your hands.

The worst fan behavior I ever saw was a Yankee fan at a Red Sox-Orioles game who drove down to Baltimore just to watch the Red Sox lose. He was completely drunk and sucker punched the completely peaceful Red Sox fan in our section and got kicked out.

I took photos for astros fans on Sunday night and they took pictures of me and my kids. There were several Astros fans in our section and everyone was nice to them.

In yankee stadium, they would knock the cap off your head and I think it’s worse at Fenway. Nats fans are very civilized! My kids have been to a bunch of games and I think Sunday was the first time they’d even heard an “ump you suck” cheer....which was roundly deserved. My kids were like “ooooooh, they said suck!”

One of my favorite stops! Been to many a finals game and World Series game there! Great place! Been to many other places too, but I don't care to share too much information with you, since you clearly have ill intent and seem grossly misinformed. I do believe the bolded part, however.

Yankees and Red Sox fans are two of my absolute favorites. Some of their fans' rituals are great, harmless and all in good fun! Lots of other teams, too. Good people, on the whole. Great fans, on the whole.

I don't know what you guys are arguing about but, as far as worst fan base, Philly is the worst regardless of sports.

The worst fan banter (or, really, verbal abuse) I personally saw was in Baltimore when I went for a Yankees-Orioles game. We went in as Yankees fans and had people yell at us, "Your team fking sucks! You fking suck! You pieces of sht!"

Of course, I've also been to Yankees-Red Sox games at Yankee Stadium. Fans will literally throw sht at each other--including glass bottles and foul balls.

Then you have these guys at Yankee Stadium: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleacher_Creatures

Nats fans are nothing compared to the sht that goes down in the Bronx.

Another new poster. +1 million for Philly. We are Red Sox fans, too, and Yankees-Red Sox can be heated, but NOTHING like Philly. They're proud of it.

Remember it was Philly fans who came to DC and beat up the Chief.
