Sports fans in D.C. tend to get in the faces of of people (who are minding their own business) wearing the opposing teams' shirt. I have seen it enough times, though second hand. Not a good look, in general.
You clearly havent spent time at many sporting events if you think DC fans are rough.
HAHAHAHHA. Wrong. DC fans are rude.
OMG truer words never spoken, in bold above. I’m married to a Giants/Mets fan. We have been to almost every Giants-Redskins game here since we met 25 years ago and tons of Mets-Nats games. No one ever hassles him just for wearing the other jersey, and he always does. We’ve been to multiple games for our teams in NY and Philly and get hassled constantly, and no,
we don’t even wear jerseys in Philly, because that’s taking your life into your hands.
+1
Folks in Philly will beat the Hell out of a fan from an opposing team. Philadelphia fans are hardcore and violent. They do not play in Philadelphia. If you dare to show up in a bar, hotel, or at any of their sporting events wearing an opposing team's jersey, then they will give you Hell.
Tip offs about Philly fans - they have a jail in the stadium for fans; they have to grease down traffic light poles to stop people from climbing them.
