The 2 week wait part II

I'm already out this month because my husband was traveling during ovulation. He travels a LOT.

I'm also upset because I ovulated early, and I missed it on the OPK. I tested 2 days ago and got a faint line, but yesterday and this AM were negative.

I'm already upset, and wrapped up in the math: if we FINALLY conceive in December, my boys will be 5 and 4.5 when the baby comes, and will they be too old? Ugh.

I'm sad.

Are you sure you ovulated early? It doesn't sound like you've gotten a positive yet, so I would keep testing.

Other cycles I never felt any different around ovulation and this time I definitely did! If today was the first day of peak fertility, when would you do your first pregnancy test if you were a very impatient person??? I may have bought a box of 50 strips off Amazon last cycle...

I would just wait the full two weeks. Testing early can result to a lot of mind games and disappointment. You're either pregnant or you're not, so just wait until a test can tell you yes or no.

But why would they go from faint to blank if I didn’t miss it? I thought they got gradually darker?

I think in general they do, but I think how hydrated you are really effects the concentration in your urine, so it doesn't sound like there has been a true surge just yet. Keep testing and see!

ME here.

Thanks. I am always hydrated, so that's challenging I think for OPKs.

I tested this AM with FMU and got a faint line. I know that mean negative, but it means the surge is coming right?

So I haven't missed it?!?

I'm guessing you haven't missed it. Honestly, I get faint lines throughout, but then the surge is super noticeable. if you have a bunch of the cheap ones, I would just test a few times a day through when you typically ovulate. It's such a pain, but that way you'll feel more confident about timing. I am like you, I drink a lot of water, so I have to be really careful to not drink for a couple hours before I test. It's annoying!

ME here, and I got a positive OPK this morning (thursday). Whew!

Now, on to worrying that my luteal phase is too short. I guess we'll see my period arrives. :-/

If you're a praying person, I could really use the prayers for this sweet baby we hope will come to exist, and for my anxiety!

ML, praying for you ME!!!

I had EWCM and a positive OPK on Saturday and Sunday (peak fertility Sun AM). No CM for days, then again today (when I would have expected to ovulate). Gotta love how even with all our modern technology and knowledge it’s all still a crapshoot.

Possibly a chemical pregnancy. Go for blood work to know for sure.

Yup, I bled a few days after this post and now test negative.

ME here. I'm to the point where I am analyzing my POOP for signs of pregnancy.

TMI but I'm clogging toilets. Remember the DCUM classic post about the woman who carried around plastic silverware to cut up her poop? I get that now.

CN here. I ovulated early this month. So my two week wait is almost over. I brought like 5 pregnancy tests on amazon. Let’s see if there is a baby growing inside me this month.
