Who cares about their pasts? What about the DCE guys actions recently?
Total dirtbags. |
| What did they do? |
| Don't reply to yourself. It's too obvious. Please revive the DCE thread if you want to troll them. |
Trig (Blackwolf guy) basically kidnapped and had an affair with an underage girl when he was in his 20's, but because it was within the catholic community it was held quiet and swept under the rug with some minor payback from Trig. So he got away with what should have been a 20 year sentence. Girl's family also wanted to keep it quiet to prevent further embarrassment to their daughter. This happened in MD a while back. But because he knows how to coach a good lacrosse offense, people look the other way. Just remember that for you fellas who have daughters. He had success at SSSA as the OC under a great coach in Andy Taibl, but when hired to be the HC at St. John's through a pretty shady way (basically got the COY who was there fired), he did not even make it 3 months as he was fired because of how he handled offseason practices. A few players became sick/hurt/injured through dehydration at an offseason practice (not fully sure, just this is what has been said). Once word of this got out and the image didn't look good, he was let go immediately. Don't want to lose that UA money. St. Johns is better off with Wes Speaks at the helm anyways. Cabell (MadLax owner), well where do I start. Aside from knowing lacrosse really well, he also knows how to make enemies really well. He is definitely 2 sides of a coin, you either love him or you hate him. I will say that the hate him side of the coin is much heavier than the love him side, which is more of fake love. Anyone who is involved with MadLax is using him to further their lacrosse careers as much as he uses them to further his business. He has always been known in the lacrosse world as an a$$hat because of his verbal berating and tireless ego. He is also not the most savvy business man as he has been known to break his contracts, deliver incorrect/late goods, etc. Because the lacrosse world doesn't have as many places to shop at, he excelled at this early, but his do what I say model because there is nowhere else to go has run thin because of the ever growing nature of lacrosse and you can now see his product diminishing. He made some serious waves in the lax community a few years back when an email thread between him and a former player got out and posted in places like Deadspin and IL. The letter is nothing short of his true personality because anyone with correct marbles in their head would not respond to kids or their families that way. Not a good business model when you google his name and 3 of the first 4 links are how much of a jerk he is and how he causes problems. But as you can see from some earlier posters, they don't care as long as their son gets help from them through lacrosse. That is exactly why they hang around with people like these two because they are the same kind of people inside. Only care about themselves and their stature and when things go south they implode. |
I have never seen any of this in five years of travel lacrosse. Garbage post. Get lost, troll. |
She was in middle school, he was 20's ... after college age. |
Couldn't agree with the post of wishing my kid never got involved in lacrosse. The culture is awful and the parents are intolerable. Your post shows the level of the parent behavior in this sport. My kids played just about every sport except hockey and sitting on the sidelines of lacrosse games watching and listening to lax parents was torture. |
And here you are posting. How are the synchronized swimming parents? Are they more to your liking? |
90% of lax parents are wonderful. but that 10% are something

"My kids played just about every sport except hockey and sitting on the sidelines of lacrosse games watching and listening to lax parents was torture."
They obviously didn't play high level Football or Basketball. Just google AAU Parents Basketball fights and you will see hours of it. At least Football can usually separate the opposing teams parents by the width of a football field. Basketball puts them in the bleachers together. |
A few years ago a parent beat another parent to death at a youth hockey game, a lady drove her car on the field at a youth baseball game, there are many youth football fights on youtube and a reality TV show about it. The worst you tend to see at a youth lax game is some D-Bag who has no clue what the rules are yelling at a ref. |
| Wonderful comments but start a new thread or revive an old one. |
| FWIW, I've never witnessed anything close to a fight between parents at a lax game, club or high school. Football and soccer have higher injury rates. |
Agree, to end this thread: The ML guy is a psycho but the BW guy is far worse. Got it, on to the next subject. |
Overly defensive much? What a crazy helicopter response. Just because your sheltered snowflake had a good experience in no way means the sport had (or does not have) more bad apples than other sports. Hint: Your experiences are not universal. |
