| He’s probably maximizing his potty time to get away from you. |
| OP, I did a double take. I had an ex with severe depression and OCD who sucked to live with. He sat to pee. After so many years with him, I refused to date a man who sat to pee. I also freaked out about potty training my son. This is more about me but I basically had PTSD from living him, so I get your question. |
| Best part is, i don't have to wash my hands after.. |
Yeah, that is super weird and your DS is going to have some real issues around other boys if he feels he has to sit to pee. Your DH is messing the kid up. I'll validate OP's suspicions and say there is something wrong with a man who prefers to sit. |
Agree. Mom of three boys. 17, 25, and 29. |
| I usually stand, but sometimes the stream is forked. Then it may be impossible to get both streams in the toilet. That happens more in the middle of the night. Ergo, I sit in the middle of the night. Plus then I do not have to turn on the light. Or would you rather he pee on the floor? |
Yup. These idiots are dumb enough to measure a man’s worth by whether or not he sits to pee on a regular basis. Probably thinks it’s manly for their DH to sit and watch tv while the women do the housework (and clean all that piss form the bathroom floor) and beat the shit out of DW to show her who wears the pants. Luckily smart women don’t follow this logic.

Man here who often sits to pee at home.
-it’s quicker, no need to raise/lower lid -it’s cleaner no splash -it’s quieter -can multitask..brush teeth etc And the biggest one no one has mentioned yet: Sitting puts more pressure on the bladder and end up peeing more, perfect before bed or after drinking a bunch of beer. In public I use the urinals. |

| Very cultural - the standing up to pee thing is very American. My nonAmerican born husband usually sits. |
| The big issue with this isn’t whether the man sits or stands. It’s the very idea that being more ‘like a woman’ makes a man less than. The same is said when a man is open emotionally, or stays at home to care for him children. It’s BS. Being a woman, or engaging in behaviors a woman does does not make decrease a persons value. |
How do you you know all this?

I started to sit sometimes when had kids and didn’t want to wake them. And for all you of the reasons above.
Son stands In public or at work, always stand. Because who would sit on a gross warm toilet seat if they didn’t have to? |
|
I don’t get it, OP. Why is this worthy of a comment? Toilets are meant to be sat on.
I think nothing of a man sitting to pee, just like I think nothing of a woman sitting to pee. It’s a lot more hygienic for the rest of us, too. |
| Man. I sit at night when I don't want to turn on the light. Sometimes in the day if I want to sit and read. |
