Mary Kay Letourneau considers herself the victim

Especially teachers who are there to guide, protect, and teach.

Shame on you for giving women a pass. She was not a victim.

She is a pedophile predator wrapped in the package of a feminine woman. You see a girl so you must think that this was somehow not her fault?

Are you able to convince yourself that her male victim is now victimizing her? Serious question.

I think she's victimized by the process, by the tabloid media, and yes, even to some extent by her "victim", yes.

The young man was only a victim in the strictest legal sense of the word. He was a minor. He certainly didn't act like a victim, he was a willing partner in the relationship. The only thing that made him a "victim" was the law.

Would a man in the same circumstances be a victim? No. He'd be a sexual predator. Because men and women are different. Period. That's reality.

So I can come over and have sex with your middle schlooler is what you’re saying?

Assuming you're relatively attractive and fit/in shape, my 11th grader would almost certainly be sexually attracted to you. As would most of his friends. If you offered him the opportunity, I'm certain he would have sex with you. Have you ever had a teenage son? They're literally walking erections. It's simple biology.

Would I approve of him having sex with you? Not really, because I'd like to see him with someone his own age. But I wouldn't think for a minute that he'd pass up an opportunity to have sex with you if it presented. Boys are just that way. For them, it's just another form of masturbation.

So the answer to the question is no since the question asks about a middle schooler and you are talking about your high schooler... or would that be ok with you too because it's just "simple biology"?

(I am equally grossed out by Mary Kay and this response.)

Gross woman. She left her children from her first marriage to prey on another child. Any man in a similar position would still be locked up.

No normal mid-30s women is attracted to a 6th grader. That is some sick shit.

maybe, maybe not.

There was a story I read just yesterday about a man who had been a mayor somewhere in Ohio that accused a FOUR YEAR OLD of seducing him and being a willing participant. And heis eligible for parole at some point. (I know, the page is rather left leaning, but the story is real)

We are not talking about a 17 year old (which would still be wrong especially because she was his teacher). We are talking about a 12 year old boy. You seem to think that it is o.k. for grown adult women to molest and have sex with a child...because he is a boy?

There are nasty azzed grown men who have had sex with 12 or 13 year old girls. They claim that the girls "wanted it", pursued them and were responsible for having sex with them, too. That's what predators do though. They blame their victims.

If you can't see the sick psychological hold that this woman still has on that young man....if you really think that what she did to him is o.k......that is messed up.

I don't HAVE a middle schooler. It's been three years since I did. But even then, he was rather mature for his age.

You find your own affirmations of your argument in whatever people say, so it doesn't matter what I think.

I was 15 when this story came out. I found 12 year old boys WAY TOO YOUNG at the time and I remember feeling really gross about it. Now I am in my 30s and she makes me even sicker.

12 year old kids still need to get hall passes from their teachers to go to the bathroom. A 12 year old kid is not ever mature enough, under any circumstances, to have sex with their middle aged teacher. The fact that you seem to be seeing this as a gray area....is really alarming.

She is a predator who trapped this boy for life. She feels no remorse. Makes me sick.

Her children are in their 20’s and 30’s. Should she not be allowed contact with them?

She should be locked up behind bars and she should not be allowed to be around children including her own grandchildren when and if her kids ever have children.

Personally, I do not think that she should be around that young man or their daughters. The level of dysfunction there is very twisted.

Probably not, if they have children of their own.
