| I am 5'6 and am 147 lbs currently. I feel my best at 130, but I feel fine now too. Anytime I am over 155 I feel badly. |
| I'm 34, have one kid, and am 5'6". I feel best between 135-140, which is a size 6. I was 120-125 in college and was very skinny with defined rib bones and such. I think it depends on body type, but between skinny and fluffy sounds like a healthy weight to me. |
Genuine question...did your doc provide his reasoning for that? I’m 5’7” and at 158 after having a baby in June. Want to get to between 145-150 but not sure it can happen. Obviously others on here are much smaller so I’m interested in your doc’s rationale. |

So much depends on your frame.
I'm the same weight but 2" taller. At 5'8", 140 feels about right for me. At 150 I start noticing belly rolls and pudgy arms. |

| I' 5'7" - my ideal weight is 145-150. I have a lot of muscle though. A personal trainer/health coach a long time ago told me it would be hard for me to get to 140 and I might not have the energy I do know ...so I"m fine with it. Folks are always shocked that I weigh as much as I do - wear small and size 4/6. |
| I am 5'7", and recently went from 160 to 150. I already feel much better and am now a 6 or 8 instead of an 8 or 10. I hope to lose 10 more. |

I'm 5'6" and 145. I think I look and feel better around 135-140, but I'm not unhappy the way I am. I would like to tone up a bit.

Actually, all of us 5'6-5'7 women care. It is interesting and good to see the range of weights and levels of satisfaction with those weights. It is a reminder that there is a wide range of normal and that it is okay to want to change your body weight. I'm 5'7, currently 150 and look fine, although my fighting weight is 135, but I'd be happy to get under 140. |
| 5'6' 36 with a 2 year old and weigh 143lb. pre baby i was 125 to 130 on a sedentary day. i look bloated today (all belly no butt/no boobs). running is not helping me and I'm wondering if I'm perimenopausal. I don't know what to do. body will not budge despite running 45 minutes 3 times a week. it's depressing and i'm uncomfortable. |
| Depends how you carry it. I weigh more than one of my friends who is the same height but I wear a smaller size and look thinner. |
| I’m 5’5”, 44, and was 148 a few months ago. I’ve worked my way down to 143. I am aiming for 135. I realize that 125 isn’t possible anymore so I am just tying to get below 140 with room to spare. I never looked heavy. I’ve always hidden any weight gain well. |
