Dump it off as lost and found. |
You’re a sociopath. And you’re insanely selfish. |
+1. |
| Agree that resorts should have non-chair places that you can leave your stuff without it getting wet. I basically NEVER sit on the chairs, but if I'm in the pool with the kids (which I am sometimes for hours), we need a place to leave our towels, shoes, etc., so we often end up taking a chair that we aren't going to actually sit in (unless someone gets a time-out!). |

Thank goodness I vacation where lounge chairs do not exist, let alone fought over. Seriously, people. Broaden your horizons a bit. |
| I never vacation in those places, but if I did I would throw the stuff off the chair or take it to lost and found. |
+1! |
| Why not just move the stuff? |
|
I always just take the stuff to a staff memener and tell them someone left it or I bring one over to grab it.
Sorry, I’m paying the same overpriced fees as you. If I want to use a chair before 4 pm, I damn sure will. I agree with everyone who is saying NYers and NJ people. That’s who I mainly encountered over spring break. The one family sent grandpa down at the crack of dawn to reserve 12 chairs. Two ladies laid out for a few hours until lunch one day and then grandpa came back at 4 pm to collect towels. 12 chairs taken from 6 am - 4 pm is greedy. I watched this happen 2 days in a row before I just started getting the staff involved. Funny, once one person saw me speak to a staff member, they followed suit and soon enough their 12 reserved chairs dwindled to two. |
Good for you! And I agree, based on personal experience, that it is the NY/NJ types that are the worst. |
Your vacation isn’t everyone’s vacation. No need to be judge mental. And if they aren’t “there”, they are where you are. And it sounds like you definitely don’t want that. |
| My mother in law described to us a vacation at a popular Aruba hotel she had a few months ago. First morning, after breakfast, she went to pool and all chairs were taken (so she went to beach). Next morning, she got up at crack of dawn to put out towel on a pool chaise, and did that every day thereafter. While I'd prefer to be at the beach I think, she wanted the convenience of nearby bathrooms, her room, drinks/food, and the ease of the pool. Oh, yes, she's from New York. |
If you stay at enough resorts AND you're a jerk, that is. |
| I never go on vacation with the intention of doing this, but after a few days of getting no chairs I join the chair grabbers - otherwise you never get chairs! |
| No clue why anyone prefers the pool over the beach. Befuddling. |
